AldiI only ever buy Aldi beans, or Branston when they are on offer! Kids always said Aldi were better than Heinz. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

If 44p is cheap, it makes you wonder how much expensive ones are!Westywoodpecker wrote: »However this evening they had Asda's cheap 44p ones ...Stompa0 -

Might give the Aldi ones a try this week
I have noticed in Asda they seem to have these on offer every three months or so.
I think it was about six weeks ago that they had them 4 for £1, so I
stocked up, bought 10 packs, best before Aug 2011. so I am thinking I
will not have to pay full price again, as will just keep my stocks up when
on offer. I already do this with several other things like coffee, rice, noodles, tinned tomatoes etc. and I find this really helps my budget.Slimming World at target0 -
Whilst I personally loathe baked beans (urgh!) but my H does like them. However the Aldi beans have far more sugar and salt in them than Sainsbury's Basics brand so we buy the latter and my H thinks they are OK, as do the kids.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Heinzi was a heinz man, for the sausages in beans more than the basic beans, but i was amazed at the branston ones, the beans - similar, the sauce - thicker, tastier - sausages (if applicable), wow! much better and more of them!Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000

Branston is the best. I bought loads of packs of 4 when they were on offer in Lidal a while back. I think we bought about 40 tins, which will keep us going for a while.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100

Another vote for Branston. Heinz have really gone downhill, far too much 'juice'. If I can't get Branston at a reasonable price then I like the low-sugar Asda ones.0
