Hi all!
Just wondering, as am a little confused, something makes me think its some sort of software thats corrupted, but really not sure.
Yesterday, while on Facebook and Deviantart on Firefox, Facebook and MSE on IE, I had several popwarnings from Avira as below:
Virus or unwanted program 'TR/Rootkit.Gen [trojan]'
detected in file 'C:\WINDOWS\Temp\1758.tmp.
Action performed: Delete file
Virus or unwanted program 'EXP/Pidief.czz [exploit]' was also detected.
I immediatly got MBAM, SAS and Avira scanning one after the other, and the first MBAM scan came back saying a Trojan dropper had been detected, thats now been removed. Now the issue is since getting those notifications, i've had Avira come back clean 3 times, Mbam clear, and SAS also clear, but our PC is freezing a lot, sometimes when only opening MSN, sometimes IE, sometime Firefox, and it gets to the point CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't even do anything, after a little while having to actually hold the power button to restart it, and on one restart, I got a BSOD, do have a photo of that if needed, and typing is really lagged coming up on screen, and i'm not sure what to do (ran CCleaner and Defraggler as well)
I can say I don't know a huge amount on PCs bar that, but could get a Hijack This log if wanted, just trying to cleanup this PC a little.
Thanks for any help/advice!

-
same prob here noticed that Google was playing up it wouldn't let me log into gmail for some reason (I'm on chrome) also I have bluecoat K9 web protect (for the kids) but it wouldn't connect via that yesterday?
Now so slow on my system doing a McAfee and done a CCleaner and got rid of a few programs but still slow??:wave:0 -
Please open malwarebytes and goto LOGS and post the WHOLE of the one that was infected
reboot
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log):idea:0 -
New thing - whenever the PC is restarted, we're getting popups before connecting to IE.

Whats smilebox?
Not sure, its my family' PC, not mine, its something for editing pictures by the looks, I know Blubster is a music program mum's had for ages.
Yeah, Smilebox is for editing and personalising documents with pictures.~*Cerenia*~

Right, (on my PC now), that one is getting worse. Popups have stopped, sweet, but it is freezing and BSoDing more, completely frozen 7 times tonight, BSoD once, motherboard was replaced by a PC techie not even 6 months ago, and it constantly sounds like its loading, did check dust and dusted a little
No idea, so far I might need to call techs

Please run COMBOFIX
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be)
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download:idea:0
