Hi,
After a PAYG mobile around £100 range. Ideally with an MP3 Player but most importantly looking for Decent Internet access. Want phone that can access sites like betfair and ebay (and of course this one) without any problems. Currently have siemens SL65 but that has severe trouble accessing any site with lots of information on it.
Cheers.

Juts been looking at sony k750i on ebay what's the browser like on that?0

you should not have any problems as long as the browser can render HTML(all can) and Java/Javascript (most newer ones can).
At the basic level, the Nokia 2650, around £40 can render Java and XHTML, has both GPRS and WAP. It's dark in colour though if that matters to you.
Next up is the 6220, tri-band phone that will work all over the world, around £55, again has all of the above including a camera. The 3120 does NOT have a camera, despite it's wide advertisment on TV.
All of the above will suit you fine.
Next up in price around £60 is the Motorola V220, then the L6 at around £65 and the Nokia 6020 at around £80. after that you're into the more advanced models and into the start of 3G phones, >VGA cameras, smartphones, etc.
Hope this helps.
Cheers and take care.

Cheers Patwa,
My current phone has javascript and java but still has problems with pages, maybe this is just due to the fact that mobiles have small screens and some pages are big etc.
I think Mobile Internet technology has progressed incredibly slowly and is still redicilously expensive.0 -
Few thoughts:
3G would obviously be the fastest.
Otherwise you might want to go with an EDGe phone on Orange... i think they are the only network with EDGE, but could be wrong. w810i maybe? That has edge and mp3.
Its well worth downloading and trying the Opera Mini browser... it beats almost all pre-installed mobile browsers... the only problem can be that as a third party app it isn't always as well integrated (shortcut keys, etc..)stay lucky!

Hiya
I have a windows Pocket Pc (an mda compact 2 on t-mobile. Similar devices on other networks are: Orange SPV M600 or the XDA mini on O2 or for a debranded version, the I-mayte k-jam - the xda mini and the k-jam are of ahigher spec than the other 2), and it is fab for internet browsing.
Your best bet would be to go onto E-bay and type in HTC, and you shopuld be able to get a device for under £100.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Cheers impy,
How much do you pay your network for Internet access?0 -
Well I am on Flext 25 web and walk, so I pay £32.50 a month with unlimited internet (except for voip and IM).
But I think you may be able to add this on to pay as you go... but I am not 100% on this.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

edge is a version of 3g, but using 2.5g technology, so not as fast or advanced
Opera Mini broswer is definately the way to go for decent browsing on your phone0 -

Indeed. GPRS really isn't fast enough to do any mobile browsing other than a quick check of phone or cinema times. EDGE should be fast enough to be reasonably useful (nearly as good as i-mode) and then 3g is the best... though 3g coverage doesn't reach everywhere yet, so once you go outside 3g coverage you tend to drop to GPRS... which i think is why orange has got EDGE as well, so at least the drop isn't so severe.stay lucky!
