I am now 6 months into my contract with 3 but need to lower my tariff. I have tried to call them, but the automated service does not work correctly on my phone. I have tried to register online, but this tells me it will send on a text with my website password but does not. I have no postal address for them.
Any ideas of how I contact them? This is going to be another £35 a month unless I can lower it now!

Hello.
You can contact their sales team on 0800 3586795. alternatively, 0870 7330330 if that doesn't work.
For Customer Services, try 0141 2048674 and ask to speak with Glasgow (connects there by default, but sometimes they will connect you through to Bombay when asking for an advisor). Be firm and tell them you've had no luck with their Indian operators (no disrespect intended).
Customer Services can also be contacted on: 0870 7330334 or +353 14325020 for the Irish centre.
to call from your mobile, dial 333 then choose the appropriate option.
their offices are located at:
Customer Services, Hutchinson 3G Ltd, P.O Box 333, Glasgow, G2 9AG.
You can try e-mailing them at:
customer.services@3mail.com (not sure if this is auto-response or not).
Re: downgrading your contract. Is it on a cashback deal or not? If so, you'll have to keep in mind the terms and conditions for that. If your cashback is a partial cashback deal (i.e only part of the year's contract cost is cashback), and the reduction that you'll gain from a tariff change is more than that offered by your remaining cashback claims, then just ignore the cashback altogether.
Hope this helps. Three will most likely try to offer you more minutes for your current monthly price, but if you stick fast you should get your change without difficulty. Writing to them may also work, but bear in mind you'll have to wait for their reply, and if it's not favourable you'll have to then write back which takes time. Best bet is to sort it ou by phone. the notification of tariff change is sent out by post within 3 days.
Hope this helps.
Cheers and take care.
