Just got my wageslip for next week, I am please with the result! I am salaried but I get paid overtime for doing saturdays, I have done 2 in the last pay-period, stopped paying my pension in until I've cleared a few debts and sold a few purges as well!
Makes the outlook positive for a Friday afternoon, unfortunately I don't get it til next Friday :(
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!
  • Hi everyone

    Today I have:-

    checked online banking

looked online at jobs and applied for a couple
written list of jobs for tomorrow (housework stuff)

    I still have to:-
    get the dogs brushed
    prepare dinner

Please can someone tell me more about the clicks and scratchcards? I am new to this but interested! Thank you in advance.

I'm excited about Eastenders too - I have been thinking about betting money on Becca being the culprit, but now I am not so sure. I think I will kick myself if it turns out I was right!

Lurleene! That's a new one! I hadn't even considered Becca! Hmmm...was she in it around xmas tho?

    Ooooh, I am so excited!

  • Hi everyone,

I'm quite new to this, but love reading these threads as I'm picking up new ideas from you all on here.

    I'm on a study day today and it's OH's birthday! Here's what I've done today/for today:

    - bought an £8 birthday cake from M&S for OH using £4 worth of vouchers I forgot I had and found during a clearout!
    - due to shortly start cleaning out OH's car (one of my birthday gifts to him, so costs me nothing but my time!) (I HAVE bought him presents too though, in case you start feeling sorry for him!!!
    - Stuck indoors studying today, so am wearing big cosy jumper, thermal socks and warm trousers so I don't have to stick heating on.
    - Doing my daily clicking - started about 10 days ago and have about £4.00 in total so far but continually joining new sites and starting process with them too! (TRYINGTOCUTBACK - look at eager learner's thread on this board - It will tell you about daily clicks and she can send you a guide to daily clicking via email if you PM your email address).
    - No take away tonight - cooking 3 days worth of spag bol so I can freeze 2 days worth for dinners either on weekend or during next week.

Hoping to do more good stuff over weekend! Have a nice weekend everyone :-) x
    :A2014 = my year for change!
:mad:Credit Cards are NOT my friends and I'm NOT playing with them anymore:p
  • Thank you - I will do that.

She didn't live on the Square at Christmas but we had seen her in the hospital with Stacey. My theory is very ropey, based purely on the fact that she is weirdly possessive of Stacey and she had a wobbly when Stacey took her to the Vic (right at the spot where Archie was killed) and had to go back to the hospital. It's not a great theory! :rotfl:Who do you think did it?

We have had another lovely frugal day, I am very sad this holiday is drawing to an end. Today I:
    1) Took the kiddies to Highcliff Castle - entry just £2.75 for us all.
    2) Free parking
    3) Free access to the glorious beach
    4) Took a packed lunch and drinks
    5) Hit Highcliff's charity shops and got a few bargains, including a Boots Botanics gift set full of items I use for just £2. :jAlso got B a lovely camper-van shaped money-box which she couldn't stop stroking.
    6) Picked up a prescription for OH in Boots and didn't buy anything else.
    7) Nabbed a free pair of cinema preview tickets for March 1st.
    8) All meals from stores.
    9) Checked banking, quidco, did SC etc

B is at a sleepover now and OH is out tonight so I am looking forward to some peace and quiet once T is in bed.

Have a good evening, and enjoy Eastenders and Lost and other non-TV related pursuits this evening! L x

    Hi Guys

Spent a "Mummy Day" with eldest DS (he has been on an exchange visit to Sweden and had today off to recover from travelling). Left DS baby with Grandma - and

    1. He bought himself the DS game he has wanted for ages (all his own pennies and I didn't even have to chip in)

2 Had a cup of coffee with a freebie voucher and whilst sitting down (and he had his head in his DS) I called to transfer my utilities from expensive B Gas to cheaper deal. (Comparison site says about £300 saving) Then called mobile phone / dongle peeps and put the bills back on Direct Debit (£6 odds per month saving)

3 Got letter from bank accepting payment terms on £10K - so to celebrate I splashed out on a £1.99 non-stick paella pan from Oxfam. I love cooking and DS loves risotto - so I'm going to try him on "garden paella" - using our own produce.

4 On way home got a call that I'd got a set of bunk-beds for DS new room (and to put up exchange students on return visit) - Gotta lurve Freecycyle.

5 Picked up DS pal from swimming at school to look after him for a couple of hours (they are both playing the new DS game) and I'm crocheting my blanket (Freecyled wool)

Seems a shame to go back to work when you can have allthis fun on £1.99 doens't it - LOL
