    OH has asked me to find out how much he will be entitled to if the company goes into insolvency and we have to claim from the National Insurance fund but I am struggling to find out exact figures.

    He is 45 and has worked there for 21 years (I know that it is capped at 20) his weekly wage is above the £380 maximum statutory limit.

    I am trying to find out:

    How much Statutory Redundancy pay he will get
    How much notice period pay he will get

    :o

    Lou,
    The statuatory redundancy my friend a Personnel Manager worked out for me was as follows;
    1 weeks pay for every year up to 41.
    1.5 weeks for every year after 41.
    My notice period was 3 months but I don't know how that relates to your husband and I don't know what the impact of the company going into insolvency is.

    :T Excellent Sally!

    I've got my 5 miler to do (we meet at 7) but there's a 3/4 mile hill at the end that's :eek:

    I've had my sushi, banana and some roast sweet potatoes so I certainly won't be short of energy! :D

    It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
    We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
    Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
  • Just seen a job that would almost tempt me back into PR at a salary of 41k! Sadly it needs someone who has a strong financial product media background. I'm guessing it is working for LV (Liverpool Victoria).

    Now if that had been a strong chocolate product media background :D

    Is it worth phoning Brother up? they may be able to send you the missing parts - free if you tell them how much you love their machine and that you're so disappointed that you can't use it due to the missing bits
