Turbo, Im sure you hubby will look forward to that. will you tell him in advance or will it just be a lovely suprise for him? I marched my OH out in the rain to help me sort our greenhouse out!!! Well done on your weight loss, working in the garden seems to be helping me loose weight.

I haven't told him when he's doing it but he's really got the gardening bug last year so I'm sure he'll do it with out me asking.
He is good he set up a watering system for me so I didn't have to worry about the green house last year. This year we are going to use our water butts we have 2x 80ltr, 1 x 460ltr tank and a smaller on about 40ltrs. the tank came with a pump so just got to turn it on and I can use the hose pipe. Some nights I find it hard when he's away to get the watering done and look after 2 kids under 4.
The weight loss was a lot to do with the garden and can't wait to get out there to boost the loss.GC July £250/0 -

My pepper seedlings have popped up too - but have started to look a bit brown. I think that I should have removed the lid of the propagator a bit sooner......0 -

My first attempt all died as I left them in the propagator too long and had too much water.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -

Ive got absolutely none yet.
The aubergines are doing well, 2 out of 3 have sprouted.
I think I might start again with the peppers, there was something "wrong" maybe too deep ( they are in a mushroom plastic container in the Propogator. Maybe Ill try the other variety as the other ones wer £land seeds maybe not so good?!?!
Have done really well today , was clearing out a building for work and what did I find- loads of plant pots anda bit of old trellis - USEFUL! Lo and behold, what was behind that about to go into the bin? A box of old crockery- BRILL! So salvaged that!
Also went and got some lovely coloured little buckets ( shallows) in red & pink from Asda for £2 each.
Didnt get the ericacious compost, but certainly need to.
I am trying to fathom out some lighting for the "new garden room" and have just found a website telling me how to make my own solar panelled lighting?!?!
I could just buy a rig up, considering there is no electric and its ever so slighlty damp in there I dont think battery ones are really working that well. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
This may have been mentioned before, but just in case it hasn't been...I was in B & M today and bought some compost ('enriched with John Innes' it says on the front - hope he didn't mind too much :rotfl:)....anyway, it was £1.99 for a 50 litre bag. Well chuffed. May be useful to someone.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

p.s. I made a compost container today. £4.99 trellis-on- a- roll -type-thingy and I found an assortment of 4 stick type things to use as corner posts. Might take a photo tomorrow. I only used just ove half a roll, maybe a bit more, so for about £3 I now have a place to store my 'would be' compost.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
