    hi SandraScarlett

What is wombling?. I will need to start looking for self service boots!

    Gx

I hope Sandra wont mind me answering but wombling is when you pick up a voucher someone has left behind. On self service tills the voucher comes out after the receipt and looks just like the receipt. Lots of people leave them behind and they usually fall dow n behind the carrier bags. It also applies to Tesco receipts on which the points have not been taken although Tesco are not keen on you doing it

Think the nearest boots with SS tills is the Fort

  • Hi Rose! Thanks for answering BAPie's query (I was watching Coro and The Good Wife!). Non Bootsers often just leave their vouchers in the stack of baskets, on their way out, or drop them outside stores - I always feel incredibly thrilled when I find an unwanted voucher!

    xx
  • Sorry to be off thread, but has anyone gained a slip out the machine for a money off code for online use?
I havent been into a boots for a few days and i know the last code ended on the 23rd Feb which was LRAA33 for £5 off a £50 spend.

  • Thanks Skibster for the news about the Celia Birtwell bags. Something else to look out for and add to my "just-in-case" presents carrier!

Just a heads up for when you're figuring out what buy to get a £5 for a voucher, I saw some lovely Celia Birtwell bags at 75% off today in Boots. Got a bag (don't know what it's called, looks like a women's version of a men's shave kit bag?) for £3.75 that had been £15, and there was a big hold-all that had been £20 down to £5. This was in the aisle of bags and accessories. There were some empty shelves for some reduced s&g things (nail brush for £2, one of those big massage gloves but don't know the price), and several Sanctuary things still available reduced (exfoliating gloves, foot pumice, spa sponge). Also saw a Boots brand bathroom scale for £1.25.

Just to add to this list I've seen Soap & Glory bath accessories at 50% off (bath pillow/travel set/ back brush), and Sanctuary lip plumpers at 75% off.

  • i've just been catching up with this thread & thinking how much had been posted even before the new no7 voucher had started and since ,wouldn't it be nice if the powers that be would let us have the old Boots grabbit thread back. every body just wants to help each other get the best value for their money & the people that spoilt the old thread seem to have dissappeared thankfully. happy bootsing
