Boots next voupon - No7

Hi there,
I have to agree with Tammigirl here about the "not putting the voucher in the slot" It is not best practice and could result in the demise of the SS tills in Boots, which would be very unfortunate for all. Don't mean to cause offence to anyone, just offering my opinion and a bit of advice:o0 -

I went through the transaction as normal and at the end after i had scanned the voupon it says put the coupon in the slot ( i had a look at the slot and its just a hole in the machine for collecting i think and not like when you put cash in if you know what i mean)
the first time i pretended to put it in and just pulled it back out, the machine takes a minute but if you dont panic it will go the next screen and just carry on. SA where floating about but if you dont need assistance they dont seem to bother you. I only put a few items through each time then went back for more and so on.
Hope it works for you, it was my first wombling, and i was there that early there was no coupons lying about so i thought give it a go!
Not bad for a newbie!!! I am now plotting a trip to the Fort in the future

Sorry, but thats tantamount to fraud. And is the reason that SS machines in Asda, tesco etc have the coupon slot taped up so they can't be used.
Wombling is finding the coupons abandoned in baskets or in the bins next to the SS machines, NOT reusing the same one over and over.Magic? Its all in the mind
Me? I'm as happy as Larry.0 -

Welcome to the forums
I'm sure she has BB, and is probably hiding behind the settee now, waiting for the Boots Police to come. Which is what I did when I first started Bootsing!!! :rotfl:
But we all make mistakes, and that's how you learn, so good luck with future wombling BAP!
Saturday morning is not the best time, but my mate and I managed to womble about 15 each today, spread over 5 SS branches in London! This haul included several dropped shiney vouchers, outside the store.
We each got a nice mixture of things, sponges, mirrors, nail varnishes, nail files, shopping bags, purses etc, and mine will fill 5 "cheer-up" gift bags nicely, and I'll add some Boots own shower gel that I got on BOGOF a couple of months ago.
I've got 5 presents for the cost of one bouquet, or a few expensive magazines.

Have posted this on a seperate thread too so that offer doesnt get missed. The silver metallic bag that was the GWP before Christmas is now showing as in stock online for £6.50 and it let me add the code for the voupon, which I assume at checkout would make it a bargain of £1.50. Maybe some of you more experienced Bootsers would know? Sorry Im not an expert online Bootser yet, but Im getting on very well with Bootsing instore!!!

Or it could make up the value of a purchase to £22 for the current GWP.
Sorry people I just wasnt quick enough someone has posted on the thread I started that they are already OOS! Sorry for raising anyones hopes of a bargain.

I was like that the first time I went there on a wombling trip, but I wombled so many that I stopped being nervous, and I was spending money in there anyway. Lots of friends and family got No7 accessories in their Christmas presents. I'm hoping for some interesting R&M things tomorrow too.
Mum and I got a voucher each today so I have 2 to start with. I've got 1 to use in my first purchase at SS tils and I'm sure there will be a pile of papers on the floor needing to be wombled. well it would be impolite not to clear them up, wouldn't it?0 -

Keep in mind to be discrete when picking up discarded vouchers at the ss tills (I usually just act like I'm looking to see if my receipt is among those behind the bags and pick them all up and push them into my bag, sorting it out later to see if any were vouchers). One Bootser a year or two ago was going around collecting them from the SS tills -- and a security guard told her she could be charged with shoplifting for doing that as the vouchers are store property. That guy was surely just a huge jerk and such a charge wouldn't stick, but it would also really be upsetting to go through such an accusation, and it could lead to them checking your advantage card and canceling it if there is anything they deem fishy (like if you used several of the same extra points vouchers from a Boots mag -- many of the things they let you do they can and have gone back later and said you weren't supposed to do and canceled people's cards and points, but that only happens if they put your ad card under scrutiny for some reason).
Even if staff never said a word about you taking the ss receipts, they might start to watch you carefully if you'd been obvious about it and also start to make sure to clean up the receipts more often so there are none to grab (you'd think they wouldn't care if you took them as they were properly earned by somebody, but some staff do care). At my local boots I recently saw a staffer stand right behind the people at the SS tills, and as soon as a person finished, the SA went up and pulled out a new bag and picked up any left receipts before the next person could use the till, then the SA stood a foot behind everyone and watched closely. I can't help wondering if that was so people don't womble vouchers, which they would only be bothered about if someone were being very obvious about taking them. It means I can only womble now if whoever was watching the tills is being lax or off doing other things, lol.0 -

This is theft, not wombling. You might have well had just picked up the items of the shelf, put them in your bag and walked out of the shop.
Activities like this make stores review and change their coupon policy. It was people like you that killed Tesco.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100
