You have been very lucky, take a look on the Insurance Section on here to see what people have endured at the hands of NU/Aviva.

I was well and truly stitched up by them many years ago, i wouldn't use them if you paid me.
Same as certain gas and electric suppliers, happy to let you overpay for years then when you find out and wouldn't ever deal with them again whatever they offered they just can't understand it.

The words 'principle' and 'honourable' and 'fair' need to be re-explained...a large proportion of MP's could do with consulting a dictionary for explanations. too.
  • Hastings Direct have given me my cheapest quote. With Aviva not far behind.

Has anyone on here had claims run smoothly with them please?
  • It seems that theres a least one person who has had a good and another one a bad experience with every insurer !!!!

I'm with Admiral, don't have much choice in the matter as I'm a young driver and can only afford the [STRIKE]cheapest[/STRIKE] least horrifically expensive. Fingers crossed I won't have an accident until I have enough experience to get reasonable quotes from a proper half decent insurer.
I'd heard good things about NFU as well. Friend of mine who's the same age as me (18, actually he might be 19 now but anyway...) pays something ridiculous like £300 to insure his car, but that's only because his family run a farm and have a multitude of other policies with them. When I called to get a quote they were very funny about it and refused for reasons they would not tell me. Made me out to be a fraudster or something. Very strange.
