MealPlans WB 22nd February 2010

Hi Guys!

I have honestly looked and couldnt find a thread for next week, but I may have missed it:o

Its been a tough few weeks here with FIL dying nearly 2 weeks ago and we have the funeral next week, then going away for a few days, so mealplan quite basic.

We are having:

Mon-Toad In Hole, Mash, Carrots & Cabbage
Tues-Lamb Stew & Dumplings (MIL x 3 for freezer)
Wed-Shepherds Pie, Carrots & Peas (MIL x 2 for freezer)
Thur-Away (Not sure!)
Fri-Away (Steak, Colcannon, Sweetcorn & Garlic Bread)
Sat-Away (Chicken, Baked Spud & Salad)
Sun-Away (Lovely Carvery locally £20 for the 3 of us inc drinks and a pud with 3 spoons as huge!)

Have a great week.

Thanks for starting the thread, Penny. I hope the funeral goes well and you have a good few days away.

Part of my meal plan looks scarily similar to yours, Norman Bean - it must just be the time of the year for rubber chicken!

Friday - veg chilli with cheesy garlic bread
Saturday - chish and fips from the takeaway (naughty treat!)
Sunday - BBQ-style roast chicken with salsify fritters, salad and olive bread swirls
Monday - chicken and leek pie (using Jamie Oliver's recipe for turkey and leek pie, which I've heard great things about on this forum), with roast veg
Tuesday - spicy chicken pasty and salad
    Wednesday - corned beef hash
Thursday - evening class day, so something from the freezer

Have a nice foodie week, peeps!
Back after a very long break!

I'm particularly pleased with my rubber chicken as it hasn't cost me anything - I had a £15 voucher which has bought me a huge FR chicken (well, huge for a one-person household, anyway), plus some veggies to go with it. Right, I'll go away and stop being smug now. :o:o

You have every reason to feel smug - well done  if it's that huge though and there's one to feed you should have even more chicken meals next week :rotfl: Enjoy x
