No, I thnik it's the 3'rd time I pay with PayPal....and actually I changed my address a few days ago, but I remmeber the first time when I payed with PayPal it took a long time too, second time it was faster but just because I had funds in my PayPal account.

Ah so thats what it may be then. Same as me when I changed address. I have no idea why it happens but I found out from the person I was buying something from, they said they had the same peoblem too when they changed address.. Im sure your next payment will be instant.
    Comping again
  • Mine comes out of my bank, not my card, as a direct debit.

    Might be why.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

You think so ? All right then let's hope my next transaction will be much faster.
Thank you all for your help, I hope I will not be posting here (this topic) again in a short time or maybe at all :)

    What do you mean ?
  • In the short term, you could ask the seller to send you a manual payment request. This would be instant and the first payment could be cancelled..

btw, I've just contacted the seller, waiting for an answer now...so I need/can cancell the payment or the seller has to doi it, cose I don't know the procedure ?! Thx.

Well it's a direct debit- you give paypal your bank details, instead of your card.

Can't remember if cards trigger echeques though, but I think they might.

I had a look in "Add a Bank/Building Society Account in the United Kingdom" and I don't see an option like this, you must add an Account Number...Sort code..

So this is what I see in my PayPal account at the moment:

Neither bank account nor credit card triggers an e-cheque as a matter of course. There must be another setting on the users account somewhere.

Rant time....I wish that Paypal would not always default to 'bank account' for transferring funds when I spend something on Paypal. I always want to pay by credit card, and have to manually do this every time...rant over.
What is happening to the English Language? These are not isolated, but repeated every day.
'Definate', 'Aswell', 'Rediculous', 'Payed'...and the best of all 'Could Of'. How can anyone think that 'Could Of' can actually mean anything. You may as well write 'Could Zebra' for all the sense it makes.

If you have no itention of ever paying via your bank account, just cancel the direct debit. Your account will remain verified and have the same limits.

If you need to withdraw to your bank account at a later date, just add it again as a withdrawal option.
  • Finnaly I found out how to add a debit card (My Account>Profile>Add or Remove Card), don't know how I didn't see this option before, I hope I will not have to wait for the money to clear as I did till now.
