Do I need to buy winzip?

WinRAR is very good, probably the fastest of the suggestions, but not free.

For a truly free version though 7-Zip and TugZip are great. I personally use TugZip.

Go to https://www.winzip.com / Try Now / Get Winzip for Free.

Basically you have to sign up with an affiliate partner and you'll get sent a legitimate registration code.

I used the eBay option, signed up as a new user, bid (failed) on an item and received the code this morning.

Really, WINRAR, I use nothing else. Don't need to pay for it really, just click "close" on the nag dialog box.

I've tried all the ones above and they are all good.

Currently though, I'm using Zip Genius (https://www.zipgenius.it). There are two versions, one is just the Zip program but there is also a suite version available which includes other useful programs (again freeware) such as an FTP client, fiel splitter, etc. It also does pretty much all standard archive formats, not just Zips.

Well worth a look.
