If you're into skinning your desktop etc, I use stardock's object desktop suite (costs about $50). That includes objectzip which I actually prefer to winzip. I'm not sure of any good standalone zip programs though."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

winrar is the best IMHO.
windows Me and XP come with a zip facility.
You could always use powerdesk plenty of tools including a zip unzip facility.0 -
Another alternative is http://www.tugzip.com. It deals with zip files and is freeware.
A paid for alternative to Winzip, that you may want to consider is Powerarchiver - http://www.powerarchiver.com.
If you have an earlier version of Windows you can still find the earlier (freeware versions) of Powerarchiver on some download sites.0 -
WinRAR for me!!:T0

Just ZipIt https://www.just-zipit.com might be worth a peek.0

Freezip is good. Give it a twirl. If you need something more professional Winrar is the top of the pile.
