Doing mine on Tuesday morning, So I think I will take my phone out to get the calculator and take my glasses off at the same time........They won't get away at tearing a strip out of me. mystery shopping or not, I won't allow someone to do that without putting them straight.
Obviously without revealing who I am or being unprofessional. I will just stand my ground......after all, easy mistake i guess....:rotfl: LMAO
Don't worry, I stood my ground. I acted as an aggrieved candidate and argued my case (after I had demanded my glasses). I asked if a candidate who needed crutches would be allowed to take them in, since they would be a redundant personal item once the person was seated. I also asked if they had the facility to provide someone who could read me the signs on the walls if I did not have my glasses. Incidentally, the officious official was rude to other (non cheating) candidates as well.sorry another question...
just did a takeaway job for GAP and the receipt printer was out of paper so I couldn't get one. There's warnings everywhere about not getting paid if I don't get a receipt, and I filled in the questionnaire accordingly explaining the situation...however, what do I do when I get to the screen asking to upload an image?
When this happened to me once, I asked for a handwritten receipt. I said I just needed some sort of receipt "to get my money back out of petty cash at work". I got a handwritten receipt and it was accepted for the job (with an explanation).0 -
I thought of asking for a handwritten job but c'est la vie. I'll email them as well, thanks.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Hello I'm a newbie at mystery shopping, signed up a couple of months ago with a few companies and have been reading this thread but not posted before so - hi! And thanks for all the great info you have provided, I wouldn't have had a clue what I was doing without it
I have been doing mostly Gap and RE jobs as the other companies don't seem to have much in my area unless I am doing something wrong! I did a Gap burger job today and was a bit freaked out because they obviously clocked me as a MSer as soon as I asked for a receipt, the girl on the till kinda freaked out and ran out the back to get her manager! Then within seconds every child in the place was being offered a balloon and there were about 8 staff cleaning! I felt like a right idiot sitting there while they all fussed around me. I'm sure this happens a lot as I've heard you guys talk about the 'floor show' but I felt pretty uncomfortable by the end as I knew they were all watching me and trying to make sure I could see all the good stuff they were doing. I just felt like that whole job was a bit pointless - well apart from the moneyWhat do other people do in that situation, do you just pretend everything is normal?

Honestly there's not much you can do. Just grin and bear it. They know who you are, you know that they know who you are. As you say, it's all completely pointless but hey, it's a free meal and bit of extra cash for some Easter eggs.0 -

I hate the floor show....today I took my son into one of these places and even though we werent doing a MS, I still got the floor show, they definitely know who I am.. I saw the GYP file being passed around being the counter, my son was offered a balloon on so many occasions, they even came over and checked he didnt already have the meal toy from a previous visit. It was soooo obvious.0

Can I ask what network that is with? thanks
Mine is with T mobile, which has been great but DS is on O2 which seems to have better coverage. Having said that I only have problems in the back of beyond in Wales when we visit family lol.
Just one point: the Nokia 5800 does not have a stop watch but that didn't bother me because I have a stopwatch anyway.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65

. Payday on Friday so will make my purchase then. Carphone Warehouse have a 24 mth contract, 900 mins, 500 texts, unlimited internet access for £25. I spend more than this for less on my current tariff so it's a no-brainer.
Cheers for the pointers all :beer:0 -
just wondered if anyone had uploaded a copy of ID to Helion?
Feel a bit wary doing it
I haven't yet but have no problem with doing it. I need to pull my finger out and complete the training test. Failed the first one because I was too tired and knew I shouldn't have done it. I'll make it my job for tomorrow!SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
