Well they're not paying me. Offered that I could reshop it, but I told them it's not worth it for the fee. I was passing through the station so didn't mind it the first time.

I have to say I find it quite inflexible. I could tell them the individual costs of everything, the time on the receipt (I checked it before I lost it!) and uploaded a copy of my train ticket but it wasn't enough.

Annoyingly I didn't find out I'd lost it until after I completed the report otherwise I wouldn't have bothered filling it in. Luckily I bought stuff I enjoyed otherwise I'd be fuming.
I know it's too late for you know, but a tip: as soon as you have done the job, take a photo of the receipt (and the photo of the shop if you've had to take one) and email it to yourself (if your phone can send email). Then, even if you lose it, you've still got the photo of it!
Hi. Don't know if I'm allowed to tell you this as it may upset some people on this forum. I am only telling you in order to be helpful so here goes:

Over a year ago I did a wine purchase visit in which I had to purchase a bottle of wine and a chocolate bar, produce a photograph of said bottle of wine and chocolate bar and submit it and also submit the receipt which said clearly that I had purchased the wine and chocolate bar.

In the report there was a question which said "What did you purchase?"
I wrote "A bottle of (blah blah - can't remember exact wine now) and forgot to write "chocolate bar". My mistake, I own up, I omitted to mention the chocolate.

I received a telephone call two days later asking me what I had bought at the shop (although surely photo a receipt would ascertain what I had purchased).

I told the staff member at the MS company that I had bought a bottle of wine and a chocolate bar. She told me I did not write chocolate bar on the report and therefore the report was invalid and I would not be reimbursed or paid.

All they had to do at their end was doctor the report to add the words "chocolate bar" before submitting it to the client, which I am sure is what they would have done.

I did not however get sacked.

For those of you who hate hearing bad things about a certain company, I apologise, I am just stating a fact. ;)
I remember you telling us about that at the time. Bloody awful proofreading!!!

  • Aww so many phones so little time. Fancy an iPone, not had a contract in years so hopefully, maybe get a good deal. Anyone know of any MSs to phone shops? Normally hate them as i'm such a techno phobe.
Thanks for your advice anyone x

Unfortunately there are no deals to be had on iphones. Apple sets the tarrifs and the shops have to follow them. The only way to get a discount is on the insurance. Shop around. Orange I think charges £12 a month but O2 a lot less. I fancy one too. I was promised one for Christmas from my hubby. I'm still waiting!

I've got a takeaway delivery job tomorrow evening...however, the website for this place says that branch is "closed due to refurbishment" - I tried phoning in case the website is wrong and no answer so seems website might be right.

Question - if I "keep" this assignment and attempt to complete it tomorrow will I still get paid since it's their fault for putting a closed shop up for a job? the assignment notes say to make sure the branch delivers to your address, which I've done, but technically it doesn't say you have to make sure they're open!
top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

would like to win a holiday, please!!

Of course!!! Great idea. The iphone doesn't have the best camera, but it's just about readable.

I doubt you'd get paid as you didn't really go out of your way except to attempt to make a phone call.

Gap are doing the rounds again, phoning me up with their ridiculous fees.

They wouldnt add any extra onto a burger job, so told them I would leave it.

"But we are desperate" - oh well, not my problem. :)

Well, first report properly graded from REACT, and I am a star pupil with a 10!!

I don't normally take much notice of the marks, but well, I am a little proud of this one, and the report took ages as it was for a London tourist attraction.

For what it is worth, I Love REACT, I get most of what I apply for, and the jobs are usually a little less run of the mill than other companies.

I also really like Aba-i, good helpful people on the phone, and they seem to appreciate good shoppers.

Just got 4 of the 6 coffee ones I applied for so quite pleased with that - I've only ever done a few things for them but quite like them - up to now anyway. :)

Aba-i are one of my favourites too - I've had three phone calls today from them about various jobs - one a new one for me - so what was going to be mainly an admin week is getting busy again.....
