I have had that since day 1. It prints the address details only...the rest of the pages come out blank. I thought it was just me. Glad to know I am not alone.

I never have a problem with Firefox and GAP, it may have something to do with the settings but I'm terrible with technology and it may be something I've done by accident!

Oh, and aside from this, I think this forum is one of the most useful but also one of the nastiest when you get things wrong and it makes you feel awful and sometimes you feel really got at so can everyone just be nice to one another please. We are all human and make mistakes, duplicate posts and put things where they shouldn't be :A:A:A:A

  • Anyone got their cheque yet for joining the company? Mr Postman delivered mine today :j. Was very cynical and didn't think anything would come of it, but here it is in my hot little hands :D.

Regarding printers, i though maybe it was me being a dunder-head, but looks like a number of us are having problems priniting off jobs. Thanks for mentioning it, i'm not alone!

    Off to do some MSing.

Since January all my completed assignments for RE seem to sit upto (and sometimes over) a week in the 'pending' section. Is anyone else finding this? I have emailed them asking why it's happening but have not (nor am I likely to) got a reply.

Really starting to annoy me as I see pay dates passing that jobs could/should have fallen into

Really? How much did you get? Did you have to do any surveys for it?

I've been working on the assumption that the reason they sit "waiting" to be proofread is in fact to ensure that they don't pay out on a job too early. While I'm no expert, I assume that RE invoice the client for the work after a wave has finished. Clearly* RE don't actually receive any money for the jobs till quite some time afterwards - so you can see why they're not keen to pay too quickly.

*Clearly in my world anyway - I could obviously be completely off the mark.

Or.... They spend all their time and resources trying to win contracts and then neglect the actual shopping side of things and only allocate a bare bones of staff to check the reports, leaving them hopelessly overstretched and therefore not processing the reports in a decent time frame.

The reality is probably a bit of both. I seem to remember that the supermarket delivery jobs in January with the large reimbursement, weren't cleared for payment for the best part of 16 or 17 days (that was the case with mine and as far I could tell anecdotally on here, several others) - just after a payment date. Given I had received a proof reading enquiry for that job 3 days after I did it, my assumption was they didn't want to pay out too quickly on them.
