It does get annoying to log on and keep seeing disagreements in the forum.
Its also annoying when you get PMs from people telling you what to do.
A lot of people have forgotten what the whole purpose of this thread is0 -

Your response was rude and it was you who chose to discuss it in this thread. I'm at a loss to understand why you're so angry, and why you're utterly convinced that you've been here "longer" than me. As anyone with any experience on online forums knows, a "join date" is never a reliable indicator of how long someone has been present.

Hi I have a question about the ice cream job.Has anyone done these before?:)Does anyone know if you have to pay to go in the place to buy the ice cream?I mean are these ice cream places located somewhere where there is free access? It varies. The one I did locally to me is located in the foyer so you don't have to show a ticket. However the one by my parents is just behind the ticket barrier upstairs. It would have been very obvious if I had gone up to the ticket people, spent a few minutes trying to negociate to be let through and then just bought ice cream
Sometimes the ice cream is behind the ticket barrier (some sites seem very difficult to get into). I have tried various tactics with these (strolling through as if I own the place, waving to someone and walk through, saying I'm here for a coffee while I wait for daughter/OH to come out of cinema, etc.). Mostly it works. At one cinema, I can NEVER get to the ice cream without a ticket, and have been authorised to claim for ticket cost as part of shop expenses. If you are worried before you go, I suggest you speak to the allocator. You will get a helpful response: they will know what has happened on previous visits. Hope this helps!0 -
HI I've searched the thread and not found this, does anyone have a printing problem with Gap when using Firefox? I can't print out any job info and I do not have this problem with any other systems/companies.
TIA

Here's a LOLcat to lighten the mood.
Did you know it's 288 days until Christmas? :rudolf:0 -

Sure. But the initial post that was "corrected" wasn't wrong. Shazam had it in hand and edited their post as appropriate. How would you like it, if in response to every RE, gfk or GR alert I posted a response in the alerts thread detailing how many of those particular jobs I could or couldn't see?0 -

Gyp have sent me a timer: nothing like the item in the training manual. It is an Acctim Sprint. I am being really thick and its has taken me ages to suss it out. OK, so I can record split timings, no problem. What I want to know, is can you view the first time again after you have viewed the second one?
What I mean is: the stopwatch displays the first time point when you have split the time, carried on timing and stopped it. You then view the second time point by changing mode. I can't seem to get back to viewing the first time point after I have viewed the second one. Is this just me?
If the first time point is lost forever, it is no great problem - I will just make sure I write the first time point down immediately. I have not actually used the timer for a job, I am just playing at this stage! :rotfl:0
