I too, just got the same e-mail from BARE.

Max Aben was one of two people from BARE who set up Helion. I did have a few contacts with this guy at BARE and decided (on my own) not to work on any project in which he was involved!

I remember just before he left BARE that he sent e-mails to everyone saying he was leaving and had greatly enjoyed his time at BARE.

In reality of course, Bare want us to email them to say that we've been approached by Helion with a view to proving that the vast majority of Helion's shoppers have been acquired through records nicked from Bare. Personally I won't be replying to the email. I look forward to seeing what Helion brings, if anything!

Quite. I'd be up for that if I believed the following: "This will help us to safeguard the future of Bare. And so we will be able to continue our good collaboration for many more years!" As it is, I don't really give two hoots about the future of bare, and frankly our collaboration has been lukewarm at best. A company that demands I take a test in English proficiency or I get no work? That has the cheek to argue with me over the semantics of the English language when I am the native speaker. I'm with you, I'm intrigued to see what Helion may or may not bring to the table.

I hope you don;t mind me asking but why is that? Whenever I had cause to speak to him he always seemed perfectly pleasant, certainly never had any reason to not want to work for/with him.

    Hi All,

I have received this email too, (as I seem to still be in the shopper database) I am trying to contact Bare now but i think they have all gone home! To see why this has been sent out. I will keep you updated.

    Many thanks

Although I do understand some of their concern after the incident with our details potentially being shared that we were all up in arms about last year, either way not sure how they're so worried about a company who as yet don;t appear to have any clients in the UK.

There's strong suspicion that the incidents are related and that Helix and Helion are connected - 2nd hand info, so don't believe it just yet. There's a lot going on right now guys.

I'm saying no more as I always found Max to be a decent guy, and don't really want that trust to have been breached, I guess time will tell, but I really hope this is all a big mix up.

I would imagine there is, hopefully it'll all be cleared up soon and we can get back to the thread staples of how to add clients to abai and eggy jobs. ;)
