I do agree with you numps.... I also take the same approach with those that ask question when the answers are at the start of the thread as I do with my three year olds tantrums.... ignore them:D much less stressful!
Although I do confess to getting mildly (<<for three seconds) irritated by the repeat alertsClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Haha yes. I think repeat alerts annoy me more than endless questions.
Has anyone else noticed that we seem to be getting more people flouting the mentioning clients rule since TG put it in the thread title?? Maybe if we get rid of the FAQs all of the questions will stop?0 -

Its like a sign saying DO NOT TOUCH THIS BUTTON makes you really really want to press it :rotfl:so saying Don't Mention Names has everyone coming down with client-name-tourettesClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

It is though quite a serious issue. People on here have had emails from a certain company warning about discussing them even vaguely on here. A poster on here ( she knows who she is) reported some to the company.
Now one of the companies have before we can accept anymore jobs made you agree not to discuss the jobs at all. Now someone made a reference today to this company and mentioned where they shop. If their username is identifiable in some way they could get sacked.
We seem to have to keep saying it over and over again.
What bit of DO NOT MENTION CLIENTS NAMES OR FEES is difficult for people to understand.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
I was just wondering if there is any alert protcol? For example, take ABAI. They tend to release their jobs in batches for each client. Just wondering if we are allowed to alert again once more jobs have been released or to take it that everyone will constantly check the site after the first alert. I imagine another batch of the red shops will be released soon after the first release yesterday, so should we alert again? Does that make sense or am I waffling?!0

no makes complete sense I would rather have another alert as my area may load up, and may have missed it!0 -

I would say further jobs would warrant another alert.Climbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Interestingly I've found that the people I speak to have been very kind to me. Even if I accept a job without too much bribing (e.g chicken jobs that I don't even see on the system that I'm happy to do) I've found that they will end the conversation with "thanks very much, I've added x number of petrol assignments to your account for being so helpful".
So you don't have to necessarily push for the incentives as they will still reward you even after you've said you'll do the job for them.
Yes, you are right, they are always very courteous and friendly (well the people who have phoned me have been). I don't push for extras, I just politely ask if they have any more jobs I can help with. I have kicked myself a few times in the early days for not asking and only being given one or two extras when I could have had more. I seem to be offered around 5 extras now without asking for them.

I agree with you numps...
Some... times people can be very quick to 'SHOUT' at new posters..
I think referring them to the first threads in a kinder voice may be the way forwards..
For all the people who created the intial thread with all the helpful advice I give you a :T but newbies are always going to ask repeated questions and make mistakes it doesn't matter how or where you put the info, most people don't have time/patience/intelligence level to read it..
This thread appears to have its own reputation.. maybe instead of living upto it.. we should try a new tact....!
And if they get sacked for mentioning the client's name.. well they weren't up to the job anyway... you are suppose to be discreet...! The bit people find hard to understand is they don't read anything before posting.. you will never change that.Christmas 2020 £109
