Hi JasonP
I was really sorry to hear that you had been sent vouchers instead of the promised cheque.
This was an administrative error which should not have occurred. We have been back in touch with you via e-mail to make arrangements to exchange the vouchers for a cheque.
Thanks

Hi I purchased a new cooker £999.99 on 3rd March 2010. It arrived and was insatlled by them on 10th March 2010. It is a double oven and only on my return from holiday did I realise that both of the interior glass doors were missing. I contacted them and was told that they would send out two doors they finally arrived on 6th April. I have been unable to use the ovens to cook as the heat escapes fron the ovens and doesnt cook the food properley. I have contacted Comet by phone and letter and finally today because I have suspended the payment someone has rung me back. Also the clock/timer is now not working. Basically they have said that they will repair the timer and that now the doors have arrived the cooker is in working in order, I agree with this but I stated to him that it was not working over easter weekend and that I had arranged for my family to come for dinner when I spoke to the customer service lady who assured me that they would arrive by 30th March. So I had food that I could not cook and ended up booking a restaurant for the meal as my cooker did not work and he said that as the top of the stove worked that technically the cooker was working and I should have purchased food that I could cook on the hob (not sure how to roast on the hob) Please advise anyone who can help as I am very annoyed out of pocket and still have a faulty unit and they are not very helpful.

Hi Bayley44,
I am not an official Comet company representative but I would urge you to contact customer services at Comet.
I know you are looking for help but unfortunately I do not work at Comet.
Thank you.

Comet are a terrible company. I took them to court last year and won, then they asked for the order to be set aside as they claimed the court never informed them of the original hearing and at the hearing for the original order to be set a side I proved from their own records that in fact they did know the date of the original court date. Needless to say the judge said to their representative - 'Mr Henry I suggest you have fallen down at the first hurdle' and dismissed their application and awarded me further costs.
They are a wicked company and in my opionion carry out repair work that is damgerous and I would never have them in my house again. although the emergency Transco engineer who atended my house to rectify their mistake and subsequent gas leak in my house was excellent!0 -

Don't suppose anyone would have any advice for me. Having problems of my own with Comet. I've got an extended warranty with them and a completely knackered washing machine. The washing machine has been out of action for nearly 2 months now i've had several visits from Comet repair men who eventually wrote the thing off and now Comet keep saying that a code for a replcement is in the post but everytime i check they say sorry it hasn't actually been done and they'll send it right away. In the meantime i have a useless shell of a washing machine cluttering up my kitchen and a mountain of washing. I've complained many times now over the phone and in person. Surely this is taking way beyond what is a resonable amount of time and surely i'm entitled to some sort of compensation for the MASSIVE incovenience of being without a washing machine for so long. Anyone got any ideas?0

Hi larryjlambkat,
To be without your machine for that length of time and still waiting for the matter to be resolved isn’t acceptable so if you could please email me your details I will find out what is happening with the replacement authorisation and try to find an alternative solution without causing you any further delay. Please contact me by email with all relevant info using the link shown below, and quoting your username in your message.
