Help had a man at the door what do i do now

Had a guy come to the door last night and he handed me an envelope, in the envelope was a letter from Hamptons Legal (acting for Lowell Portfolio Ltd, Debt is with Capital One)

The letter is a statutory demand and stating that they will be presenting a bankruptcy petition.

When i have looked at it states what court etc the court i have to attend if i want the demand set aside etc. OMG what do i do help please......

How much is it for?

Are you in rented accomodation or do you have equity in a house?

HAve you ever done a CCA request on CAp 1?

the debt is for £1650.13 to cap one

am in rented accomodation but rent agreement in partners name only

i have done a cca to cap one and they sent it all back but was going to do sar. Should i do one of them and if so what about the court thing

Right

They might try this on but it will cost them £1500 to make you BR, so this sounds more like a frightener.

Now I have seen a lot of CCAs, and only one Cap 1 that was legal.

When did you take the card out? Did you send the in dispute letter?

the card was taken out 09/01/2005

they sent terms and conditions (18 pages) and also a photocopy of a form that i filled in to apply for the card but it only shows Personal details, your home (address and telephone number) your employment (what you do) and financial info (cards i already have) and also add info (whether i want cash withdrawal, ppi etc and at the bottom it shows credit agreement regulated by the consumer credit act 1974 and then two signatures one from someone at capial one and mine

No i just sent the cca request ( i know i should have sent one but printer broke and i was going to send one next week when i brought new printer)

We really need to see this "CCA", as if it is duff, you can halt the SD on those grounds.

the fact that you have never sent the account in dispute letter technically means that you cannot report them for pursuing a debt in dispute.

How do i show you the cca i have had dont have a scanner yet (printer goning to buy next week has a scanner)

Just looked on internet and cap one have a copy of the full credit card agreement online. What i have does not look like this at all

been trying to find some duff ones - there are lots on here but sometimes the photobucket account has died.

Look for UNCLEBUCK. Ambershadow's seems to have died.

Am getting really frustrated need to find a fake credit agreement from Capital One has anyone got one or know where i can find one
