If you mean Edinburgh Insurance then, no. Liquidated in 2006, although it look like some of the company records remain in the Aviva archive.

With mortgages, it is often the mortgage adviser or broker that put it in place and the lender has no liability. Woolwich would have been tied to a provider and if Edinburgh were not the provider they used then they will want evidence from you to support the allegation that they sold it.
