make sure when you buy your chosen wallpaper that they are from the same batch. There are batch numbers written on them. This is to ensure it all matches like printing on paper / photos colour can be stronger or lighter.:hello:"Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing it doesn't go in a fruit salad

And make sure the paper goes the right way up.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Start a fresh piece on each wall, ie don't try and bend it round a corner as it can make the rest bent.
Sand out any bumps in the wall or they'll show up once dry.0 -
Got one to add of my own now! Dont cut the tops straight before you apply the paper, the ceiling may not be straight!:o:o:p0

TOP TIPS! I hate wallpapering, but I seem to keep having to do it.
1) Make sure you dangle a plumb line and mark the vertical on the wall (my plum line is some old bits of metal on some string - Hi tech!) - don't assume your walls or picture rail (if you have one) are vertical or in any sort of neat line with each other. Chances are they run out all over the place, but you won't notice til you put a nice straight bit of paper up.
2) Make sure you pay particular attention to pasting the edges of the paper - if you miss bits then the edges start to curl up as it dries and it looks rubbish.
3) Keep a bowl of water and a sponge handy for wiping up paste that inevitably ends up on the pasting table. Saves getting paste all over the front of your wallpaper.
4) Buy more rolls than you think you need to allow for mistakes and having to lose large chunks when pattern matching
5) Get a professional to do it instead (my favourite).0 -
:)Use a roller to squash the edges together!0

I find a long spirit level easier , but then I have 3ft one , plumb line is cheaper.
I also do the window revels first.0 -
Corners; should i trim paper to fit into the corner, or underlap a bit of the next strip on the next wall??0

As a beginner , over lap the first by no more than quarter of an inch , cut second piece into corner.0
