Cut all your full drops first , before you cover the table in spilt paste.

Don't rush the pasting , if you miss a bit , you will be in trouble.
If you have lumpy paste.. chuck it, make up new lot correctly

    Size the walls .

    Don't try a complicated patten .
    Cut longer , then trim
  • Leave each length for 10 mins after pasting until hanging. This expands the paper slightly, when it dries on the wall it'll then contract, leaving no bubbles.

    Knicker elastic and string :D

Have two long loops of elastic. they go round the ends of the table , stops
    paper rolling back

String across pasting bucket , wipe off excess , and you have somewhere to balance
    pasting brush.

Make sure that you have a vertical line on each wall to ensure that the first length is absolutely vertical.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

dont get an elaborate pattern paper. much harder to match up correctly for a newbie.
    esp large patterns.

summat like this is far easier.

  • wallpapering is alot of hassle, putting it up is the easy part, taking it down can be a nightmare. Give paint another consideration, if not then don't paint over the wallpaper when you get bored of it!!
  • Give the walls a thin coat of 'wishwashy' paste too. It makes them nice and slippy which helps the paper to slide more easily when pattern matching.
I may not have thanked you but I meant to, honest!
