Elfen, non disabled people don't hear/think all that stuff. People with your illness do. Believe me a welfare rights specialist wont judge you. I joked that I was feeding a load of vampires because I had so many blood tests, he just started writing it down before I stopped him and said it was a joke. He was so used to things like that he thought it was a symptom of my MH!

I get all the things you mentioned (to a greater or lesser degree), believe me they've seen it all before and wont throw away your application. To them, you're just a number, they wont think about 'you' at all, just about your application. And all the things you've mentioned, you HAVE to put them down, otherwise the DM wont have a good enough idea of your problems and wont give you the correct award. And you need that award, so that you can pay for taxis when it gets too much, or treat Pint for being supportive, or buy books or dvds so you can 'lose yourself' and get away from it all.

Is there anyone else who can help you, you've said before that Pint doesn't know the full details, but what about your disability co-ordinator at uni, or someone connected to your MH team? MIND help with the forms too and I promise you they'll have seen much worse than you.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • Elfen, you are not a freak.

Elfen, 'normal' people aren't like us, but 'normal' people can't get DLA, or have to take dozens of anti psychotics.

Bunny I am so sad that you are feeling so down today, you looked so happy on Saturday night and it pains me to think of you suffering:(

Thankyou for the quote you posted earlier, it really helped with the way I am feeling today too. (nicked it for my sig)

    Chin up lass....:kisses3:

No news about my OH's job, directors are doing a pretty good job of pulling the wool over the workforces eyes (or so they think). Apparantly there were people in from the bank and raised voices in the meeting room.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • Bun, hug hugs to you. I can't say anything more as I haven't been in your situation but I hope Florida is a turning point. You can go away and relax for a long time with your family and then return all renewed/refreshed. However remember you can always post/rant/rave on here there is always someone who will listen... We may not have the right/any answers but we can sure lend an ear and some very comfortable shoulders :D

Sally, Bea's gift was sent today I hope he arrives in one piece ;)

Remind me why I went to work  :wall: I will be so glad when my boss returns, fingers crossed its in 3 weeks. Now I am heading for my bed, again, just need to sort out my challenge thingie and I will be off. If I ignore you all again I may have done a repeat of last night and nodded off :rotfl:

    I've ordered dominos

Lou, how can they think they're pulling wool over anyone's eyes when the machinery has stickers all over it!
