Best phone for out and about jobs ?

Quick question for all the Professionals out there !. I have a Nokia N95 and the contract is up in April, I need a phone now that I can log into web sites to book jobs and read PDF files. I have heard a lot of talk about a Blackberry being the best for things like that so I am just looking for a bit of advice as to which phone to get.

I would also like if possible a good keyboard for emails etc, so perhaps the Blackberry, IPhone or something else.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I would also like an answer to this question. I have just started working freelance and would like to know which device is best for checking emails etc. on the move.

I've had a HTC Kaiser (aka O2 XDA Stellar) for the past 18 months and it's a great phone. It runs Win Mobile so loads and loads of apps for it. Easy to configure and very customizable.

So that or one of the newer HTC devices would be my recommendation.

HTC HD2. Better for Business - No doubt. Check your emails from the Home Screen (HTC's Sense), get live animated weather updates, etc. Taster here - full vid here.

If you really need a physical keyboard for speed of typing, I suggest the Blackberry 8900. A friend has it, and I must say, I really like it. Nice User Interface (for a Blackberry), and good all-round ability.

The Nokia N900 also has everything you appear to want. Check it out.

If you're getting a blackberry for business, much better off getting a new 9700...faster, trackpad rather than trackball (the most frequently-replaced part), newer model.

alright if you want a substandard phone with an inflated price tag :D

Theres phones out with a lower price tag and better features.

Because then you would be so cool, and just like the rest of the sheep

I use a HTC Touch Pro 2 for work - which is designed as a business phone. It has a large high resolution screen, and a slide out keypad.

Reading pdf's on a phone is crap at the best of times - too small text or lots of scrolling, but its possible

Opera browser is very good for web access and form filling. And there is all the other connectivity and little tweaks for business/contact management.

Downside is the size and weight. I hate these big pocket unfriendly phones, but thats the compromise for the features

Yes, sorry, I meant the 9700 - which is what my friend's got. I Agree it is a lot better than the 8900 :)
