Broadband and phone charges

Hi, I am with BT Option 1, and in november negotiated a cheaper price, £19.03, for line rental,broadband and free evening and weekend calls. Since then I have gone over my 10GB every month by an extra 10GB, this had not happened before. So now they are getting the reduction back in the form of overcharges. I have phoned but the people I have spoken to cannot understand what I am getting at, ie. I don't think it can be a coincidence that this has only happened since the reduction. They have offered me Option 3 unlimited usage for £28.28 all in. Does anyone know if this is a good deal? I don't download much(films etc.) it is mainly browsing the net and my son plays on xbox live, which seems to vary in opinions on how much bandwith this uses. I hope someone can help and thanks in advance.

BT Option 3 + line rental (paying by DD and paperfree billing) should be £36.53 (that's £24.99 for Option 3 and £11.54 for line rental) - then assuming you get the evening & weekend calls included free.

You could get unlimited broadband cheaper elsewhere...

O2 (you need an O2 mobile phone, pay as you go is ok) for £7.50 + £11.54 (£19.04)
Or, £12.50 + £11.54 (£24.04) if you don't have an O2 mobile number to use.
