Is it right that you have to pay £3.50 just to open an account or am I doing something wrong?
Cheers,

I don't thin kyou can but if you ring next perhaps of end of today, tomorrow they may be able to give you it. If you're lucky you might get it in the post by Sat.0 -

Sadly yes but this is for the Next Directory (catalogue) which costs £3.50. You have to pay it first time you setup an account.
They've done something mroe environmentally friendly now and that's by sending you a small letter asking if you want next seasons catalogue, if not, then you ring an automated services. I did this, but starting to regret it as when the next big sale comes a long its not going to be easy checking through whats on sale and seeing the item!0 -

Actually no!
Well sort of. I complained to Next about having to pay this money and they refunded me the £3.50 and said that I didn't have to pay it. I also get all my directories for free which they usually charge £3.50 a time.
Also in terms of delivery, you can get items delivered to a store of your choice or use a free delivery code. You can also take them back to any next store which I think is great as I always order a load of things just to try on.0 -
Bought 2 trousers at Next yesterday and just checked out the preview. Both the trousers are on sale!!! Feel like a real numpty. Not sure what to do now.
should i try to buy it online then return the ones i have and get my refund. Or take it back after the sale and hope they will give me the discount then? Of course then i risk losing the discount.
How long does it take for stuff bought in the online sale to get to you? I remember when I bought stuff in the christmas sale it took ages arriving. The reason for the dilema is I need to use the trousers in 2 weeks time.
Anyone know Next's policy. Will they give me a discount if the item is on sale a few days later?0 -
I think it was either on this thread or another thread that you can return the trousers and get the sale discount.
With delivery it all depends on whether the items are in stock. Like you mentioned, I also ordered some things at Christmas that never came at all!
I think if you take the trousers back in the sale and then buy them back you should be OK, just smile sweetly at the shop assistant!0 -
As the sale listing is rather hard going, I have put the ladieswear (haven't done mens/childrens/home sorry) into an Excel spreadsheet which is easier to search/filter on.
I couldn't think of any other way of linking to it, so have put it on here : http://emmafarr.cogia.net/Next.xls
There are 3 tabs, one for directory X37, one for summer and mid season sale, and one for new collections and hot summer clothes. I don't have time to look now, but this will be far easier to browse tonight

Regarding the account number query, I had the same problem myself at the start of last year. I desperately needed my account number so I could try to register for the VIP sale, but couldn't find it. Unfortunately when I rang up they said that due to security they couldn't give it me0

Is anyone else having problems using the search facility on the Next website?
It just keeps timing out on me.
I'm trying to look up some pictures of the sale items but I can't :-(
Maybe it's too much traffic.0
