I have always been dissapointed with the Next sales as they appear to ship in a totally different (and cheaper) type of stock and people dont realise as they are busy stripping the shelves because its 'cheap'.

Go into a store before the sale and look at a few items. They wont be there in the 'sale' the next week.

Your wrong there. I have bought loads of stuff over the years from next and most of it ends up in the sales. i know because I am gutted that I bought it full price.

    :) I disagree a little :)

They may sell things leftover from mid season but most last season stock goes to the Next Clearances that are starting up everywhere. I mostly order from the directory and have always found most things in the sale, a lot of it half price.

Of course instore may be a little different :)

I went into my local Next today, and the clothes are already marked with a highlighting pen, which if I remember means they're destined for the sale next week, it's just getting there early enough to grab them!

    Hi there,

Does anyone know, If you would be able to buy full price sale marked stock this week, return it during the sale for a full price refund and then immediately buy it back at the reduced sale price?

Might be better than queing in the jumble sale, that is the Next sale.

Yes you can ! depending on if you choose a 'nice' member of staff :D ) At he end of the day any returns that are made go straight back for sale so its less hassle to just sell it back to the person. This also applies to Directory purchases - for a week things that you return to the store are retained in store, for re-selling, usually they get sent straight back to the Directorty. Hope that helps someone...

Not if you go early doors! :D I hate shopping but always get up early to go to the Next sale for the early bargains, and to avoid the bored husbands/boyfriends getting in the way with huge pushchairs containing even more bored (and understandably stroppy!) children! :p

If I am thinking on the right lines here, some credit cards/store cards have a price protection policy whereby if anything you purchase is reduced within 60 days, you can claim the money back. Might be worth looking in to.
