Siem Reap and Krabi avoiding Thai Air and Bangkok Airways

Considering flying to KUL and doing Air Asia flights or perhaps I should consider PNH and HKT?
Any thoughts appreciated.

I would get the train into Bangkok from Siem Reap and then take the bus to Hat Yai. From there get the bus to Krabi - about £20 total from Bangkok.

Or from Kul get the train to Hat Yai and then the bus.

However, i have flown Air Asia loads of times and they are fantastic. Jetstar are a bit dodgy and Tiger are fine but just like Ryanair. So, if it wasn't too much more id get Air Asia from either KUL/BKK depending on which was the best to get to from Siem Reap.

depends on how much time you have and how much you like traveling on bus or train.
Bus from Bangkok to Krabi, night bus I think, you don't have to go via hat yai.

Personally, if in advance enough for them to be cheap I'd go for a air asia will give you more time in the places you want to be and not on a bus.

oh air asia are great, cheap, few delays (in my experience), and they do what they say.

food is terrible!!:p
