Bloke - Interested in upgrading your T-mobile services ?
Me - No
Bloke - Not even to lower your line rental
Me - No
Bloke - No, what ?
Me - No I'm not interested in upgrades from T-mobile cos Im not staying with T-mobile
Bloke - Oh ... (muttering)
Me - Goodbye (as bloke is muttering)

* Didnt tell me his name
* Didnt tell me where he was calling from
* Massive pause at the start before he realised I had answered the phone
* Didnt get me to confirm who I was (or any security details)

  • Had a call from t-mobile about a month ago from an 0800 number, my upgrade not due til next week, they asked to confirm my name, which I did, but then asked for account passwords and other details to 'access my account details'. This immediately rang warning bells so I refused to give out any more info as the call had come from an unrecognised number. I checked the next day with customer services and the call was genuine but from a t-mobile marketing company. I just wonder how many people give out their details to these guys, it must be quite a few or it wouldn't be worth their while. Maybe it was one of these outfits that called you, they don't seem to be that good at dealing with people who don't just accept their offers.
