Im unsure what youve done but assuming you have/are uninstalling mcafee you need to Use the MCAFEE REMOVAL TOOL
http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507:idea:0 -
Ive ticked and removed what you said and removed Mcafee. Any ideas what could stillbe causing internet to run so slowly?0
-
Is it ONLY the internet? Or is the whole computer running slowly?:idea:0
-
Just the internet. It can take ages for a page to open and sometimes it doesn't open at all. It is a bit quicker if from my homepage I go on to something in the favourites.0

Reset internet explorer
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Reset Internet Explorer Settings, click Reset.:idea:0 -
