A question regarding Orange loyalty bonuses.

Hi,

I'm currently on Panther 45 but pay just £30 per month for it due to a good deal I got through retentions last year (i've been with orange for over 10 years now).

My contract is due to expire at the end of march, but I spoke to CS the other day and they told me I upgraded early so although the contract ends end of march, my loyalty bonuses will all end on 21 feb. First i've ever heard of this and oranges usual policy was loyalty bonuses stayed until you actually changed contract (ie if I just allow my contract to lapse, I'll just stay as I am on a month by month basis out of contract). Can anyone shed any light on this?

It appears from what they are saying that I'll lose my 6 magic numbers and loyalty bonuses and have to totally renegotiate again with retentions before the 21st, does that sound correct?

Basically, all I want to do is keep paying what I am now, with the benefits I currently have (1200 mins, 6 magic nums, unlimited land line calls and 500 texts) and get a new phone for another 18 months. Am I asking too much maybe?

Thanks in advance

FN

i find orange arent as easy to deal with as they used to be. i got loyalty reductions (£25 to £21) for life not just span of contract. Howver getting the phone i want at the end always seems to be tricky
  • Your loyalty discounts/extra's will come off at the end of the contract (12/18/24 months after you upgraded). your magic numbers however, will not be removed as these are a 'for life' offer, well aslong as you stay on a contract animal tariff.
