    That's correct, but why did you allow the case to be held if you were in financial difficulty? It sounds as though you possibly weren't in that much financial difficulty if you were happy for the claim to be held for so long.

    What did you threaten to do if you didn't get a response within 14 days to the latest letter you sent them? Why not carry out that threat?

  • 1) I was in dire circumstances.. They told me (hsbc) that they can pay "x" amount of money, and at the time they said a decision will be made within weeks (the test case) and most probably they will pay the rest then. However as we all know, the test case went in favour of the banks. I then awaited for the banks reply, which was after the test case. I have since repsonded with the said letters.

    2) because i dont want to go to the FOS, because they will state i have not recived a final repsonse from then bank?!
