Pipex - Early Termination Charge

Pipex are increasing my broadband (hometime) from £9.97 to £14.99 per mth as of 1/3. No amount of discussion would change this therefore I requested a MAC code. They have now advised me how many days left to use the code and if I do I will be subject to an early termination charge. I have been with them over 5 yrs and this reduced price above was agreed a year ago. If I don't move and accept the increased charge am I entering into another contract, if so, exactly when can I leave Pipex? I'm sure I'm not the only person being treated badly for loyalty, any ideas ? :(

You need to read the T&C.

It seems strange that they are talking about early termination charges - you must have accepted some change or other that triggered a fresh (presumably 12 month but possibly more) minimum term. I can't guess what that is. You should know what it was (changed speed/price maybe). If you don't know then ask them why they consider your leaving to be an early termination.
