  • Camper,
Any applications that we're submitted before they pulled the product/deal they will honor however reading some of the posts on the forum they seem to use any excuss to pull an offer at the moment.
If you do a search there's a few people that have exchanged contracts and the lender does another credit search before releasing the funds, they then say "sorry your financial situation has changed, no mortgage!" which I'm extremely nervous about. My vendor is buying a new build that won't be complete until June and they want to exchange ASAP, 4 month gap is plenty of time for the lender to change their mind! and by by my deposit!!
  • If they do another credit search before releasing the funds, our should be better as we have paid our cards off this month, so i dont think anything else should have changed on there.

I just want to get the mortgage offer, then same as you i want to exchange and complete asap.

Then im never moving again.....well not for at least 5 years anyway.
  • No money for the fee has left my account yet, just £361 for the surveyor fees. I'm expecting £95 to be taken sometime next week after the "drive by valuation" in that case although I think the fee might have been rolled into the mortgage?
  • My valuation fee was £257. What price is the house you are buying, mines 165k
  • £310k (was on for £320k), the EA say they have a letter (from somewhere) saying it should be on for £350k but we'll see what the surveyors come back with!
So with a 10% deposit on something this high in value I'm thinking dose the lender really want to lend out this much!?
  • That is a big mortgage. Hopefully if the survey comes through ok then they will just underwrite the offer.
I wonder how long it will take esurv to send the report to natwest?
I will be desperate to know the outcome.
  • Not long I would imagine, a 5 minute "poke your nose through the door" can't take that long to write up and email over!!! :)

Just to update, survey results have come back fine, no problems and valued at the price we are buying it at. So Natwest said an underwriter will issue the mortgage offer this afternoon and should have it within a few days. Im hoping solicitor gets it by this friday so we can exchange and set a completion date.

    so far so good.
  • Just an upadate i got my offer sorted and am exchanging contracts today so 3 weeks from applying to Exchange - Completion on the 1st April

257 for the valuation fee and the offer came the next day
