Hey Camper,
Sounds like you're on the same deal as me maybe (doing 90% LTV at 4.99%, 2yr tracker).
Got the surveyor going in next week, thing I'm concerned about now is they have pulled my product (now 85% LTV and £499 fee) and they're going to look for any excuss to ask for another 5% or pull it all together (The OH has just got a late payment on her CC after the initial credit checks).
Please let me know how you get on, I know we're feeling very stressed from it all.0 -
Hey Major - where did you get the info that they were pulling the deal?
I'm going for the same deal as you.
I checked the Natwest IS website a week ago and thought I was reading that they have pulled the deal and made it 85%.
After having a panic ....I then read the announcement more closely and found that it was not actually the same deal.0 -
I see the same thing on their website the other week, they had my product prior to that and then it disappeared and the current one is now there. I mentioned this to my FA at the time and he said not to worry as he still has access (beyond end users, i.e. Me) and the product would still be there.
After a call with him 2 days ago he said they have now pulled my product!!0 -
I havent heard that, my broker told me this was a new product out, we were originally going with safron on a fixed deal, but there was so many hurdles to get over, he suggested we go with natwest instead. I hope they dont pull it already. Im so stresssed from it all i cant even sleep.
Another guy on here went with them and his application was a few days before mine, he said they underwrite the mortgage first, then once survey is back they issued the offer straight away and he had his within a few days of the survey report being back.
So i have just been following the steps they did with his, hopefully if the survey comes back ok, they will just issue to mortgage offer to the solicitor.
You have got me more worried now.0 -
Yeah it was a new product (came out mid January time) and they have dropped it already, shows there's still alot of uncertainty with the lenders.
My mortgage has already been underwritten with a full application sent in the other week, now its just pending the surveyor going in.
I'm still very nervous about exchanging and them pulling the deal afterwards (especially now the OH has just got a late payment against her name!!), so if the valuation does come back ok I'm pushing for a same day (or extremely close) exchange and completion.0 -
I think you will be ok with the late payment, i wouldnt worry about it. I had one in november last year on a credit card. It wasnt a late payment and i got the fee refunded but they wouldnt update my credit file. Problem was i made the payment the day the statement was issued and my payment hit the account first, halifax wouldnt do anything about updating my credit file. I explained this to the mortgage guy and he said it wouldnt be a problem and we can explain and show them statement showing day statement was issued and payment going through.
Anyway, i just looked and that product has gone! But surely if they did the underwriting and everything, then the deal must still apply to all applications received before the product was pulled. I dont know how that works, but products change all the time. Maybe because they have had enough applications they try and slow it down by changing it to 85%.
I brought my credit file and the search is showing on there for natwest last week.
Do they do another credit search again does anyone know?0 -
MAJORTOM have they taken your arangement fee yet? mine was debited on wednesday this week. They refund it back though if we withdraw application before offer is issued.0
