Morning All :hello:,
One more sleep till hollibobs with DH woo! :j
MSD - Good news about Tris and Michelle and thanks for the linky. Will pass on to my Mum as my garden is her garden at present!
mioliere - glad you enjoyed your trip
hilstep - great news! You must be so relieved.
Curly - glad your hospital appointment went well.
JackieO - giving up Gin?!?!?! That would make me an instant failure!!!
Last day at work today. It's my friend's birthday too so I think we're all heading to the pub at lunchtime. Haven't got masses on as I said yesterday, but I reckon I can look busy for one more day
OS wise, not much happening in view of holiday. Have got to come up with something for tea tonight, but imagine that will follow the egg and chips pattern as we're staying in a hotel at Gatwick tonight, so need to leave home at a reasonable hour.
It has also been proved last night whilst packign that DH has far more clothes than me! I think I must rectify this situation post haste - I've never before met a man who needs to take different colour and material shirts because "he doesn't know what mood he's going to be in". Well in touch with his feminine side is my DH :rotfl:
Have a lovely Wednesday all, hugs in abundance xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Morning all..............((((((((((((((((((((.Hugs))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Very bad night last night, OH had an attack of the retching, I cannot sleep until I know he is asleep, he was cranky because the light was on.......I ended up on the settee for a couple of hours and when I went back to bed I could not sleep, feel like something the cat brought in a week ago and forgot!!!
This morning I am going to put up one of the curtain fittings in the sitting room, so I can get one set of my curtains up. DS2 will have to put the other one yp, its gotr to curve round one side of a bay over the door that never opens.
I am so not used to cooking on solid electric plates, I managed to burn the stew in the pressure cooker and then in the saucepan, it was ok to eat. I pout biological powder in the pressure cooker and all the gunge has come off this morning.
OH has dressed in garden clothes so I guess he is going out, I need the steps in to sort out the rail.
I did not bank the fire up last night, but there are hot coals in there this morning, I will light it again later, no plans to go out today, tomorrow we have several appointments........and Friday a visit to the Dr and DS arriving, I sent him a list last night of the jobs, heavens it was long, I hope he can pull most of them in......it will be a while before DD1 and DSIL come in May.
Supper tonight Chicken with something......not sure what.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

very frosty here and foggy too
DD's want me to take them shopping in manchester today as DD1 is looking for a prom dress, but after DH's wardrobe building yesterday , there is a lot of mess plus the entire contents of DD2 bedroom is in my room and it all needs sorting and stuff taking to the charity shops - it could take a good while, so may not have time to do everything
redruby would you be able to post your pic on here? I dont do FB
Diva glad there is some improvement with Michelle and tris x
Mioliere lovely to hear from you x
eggs for breakfast
have a good day xx0 -
Really really pleased for you. I know exactly what you mean its incredibly stressful. I heard yesterday that Im still in the Support Group for two years now so its such a relief. Like you i would much rather be working but thats the way it goes.hilstep2000 wrote: »Morning All!
I woke up at 5 and made a cuppa. Went back to bed with the cat and watched neighbours. Haven't seen it for months, and was quite shocked at how much Susan's MS has supposedly got worse! Mine hasn't been good recently either, don't know if it made me feel better or not seeing her like that:rotfl:
Anyway, some good news.... Was supposed to be going to a Tribunal today for my ESA claim. The DWP doctor had put me in the Work Group, and I was appealing to be put in the Support group. Well at 2pm yesterday I got a phone call that told me that the Tribunal had looked at my papers again and I'd won my appeal!:T
I didn't have to go today, they have put me in the support group, and I will be getting more money, and backdated to last July!:T So pleased. This has been very stressful for me. I know the Government has to weed out benefit cheats, but I didn't ask to have MS, and have never claimed anything in my life before, so it was good to get justice for once!
Seeing my Dad this morning, physio this afternoon.
Kathy, glad you are home safe. Can't believe Summer is six months old already. I am eagerly looking forward to my first grandchild in April!
(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) to those who need them.
Have a great day.
Im really unwell today so am not moving from my chair today. Im issuing orders:eek: I felt really quite good yesterday so not sure what is happening.
HugsxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning All,
Hillstep, Molly I am in the middle of all the tests at the moment. I have an MRI scan on Wendesday and then waiting for some neurological impulse tests, but it sounds like the diagnosis is only the start. I am assuming the support group means you are entitled to that.
Well really cold and frosty here today. I was going to go into Manchester as well today but DS3 is going swimming with some friends this afternoon brr so we won't be back, so will probably just pop into the local town.
I have seen a bag that I am going to have a go at crocheting and I need some wool and a bigger hook. Hoping to make a pink one to match my pink birkenstocks for the summer.
Weigh in day today so fingers crossed. Everyone will sort themselves out tonight which means sausage butties but I will leave some HM bread out.
Have a good day eve:Dryone xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning!
Hilstep-great news about the appeal :j
Diva- glad things a bit better for Tris & Michelle.
Lowesy- enjoy your trip away.
Mioliere- sounds like you had a wonderful time with your family.I was only thinking about you yesterday, wondering if you were still away, and up you pop.Sounds like you've stocked up on the essentials
Julie- the crochet sounds like its coming on well.Good luck with the bag.I'm still on with my squares to make a blanket.Only did 1 last night-kept getting interrupted .
Not much on the agenda today really,bm on etc.I just found a charity bag in the post box (its outside the gate on a post and you have to unlock it),and it must have slipped to the bottom)They are collecting today so I'm hoping I didnt already miss them.I already had about 3 bags ready, and hastily added a few more bits.It would save me having to take them to a CS,and clear the space.
I've made a bird cake with lard this morning, put oats ,dried fruit(and boy was it dried:rotfl:)and some seeds in.I meant to get a bag of birdfood when I was out with DB and niece, but forgot-she loves feeding them. The ground is so hard today, and frosty white, they would never dig any worms out.Just have to try and stop the dog stealing it off the bird table:)
I may get one of my hm ready meals from the freezer for tea,so I can go and do some sewing-all I've done since weekend is cut it out.I also could make some soup as I made stock from the chicken yesterday.A mate of the DSs came to watch footie with them last night ,he looked like the Bisto kid as he came in,saying something smelled good.Well I've rambled on enough,so I'll love you & leave you.:D Hope you all have a good day.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Really frosty here this morning but didn't have to clear the car off as I have taken the day off:rotfl: Work has been really stressful with lots of undercurrents (sp?) so I booked a days holiday today as I am really fed up and it is my day off tomorrow and short day on friday so the working week is nearly over for me this week lol:rotfl:
So I am going to have a little wander round the shops and charity shops in a while then hopefully finish sewing up the cardigan I have been knitting. Now as I have said in the past I have never knitted anything in my life other than the scarves I did at christmas and I am amazed because the cardigan is actually starting to look like a cardigan now!!!! I have sewn the shoulders together and picked up and knitted the neckband and just have the sleeves to sew in and the side seams to sew up but I am terrified of messing it all up at this stage after I have worked so hard on it! Then I just have to pin it out(?!?!?) didn't even know what this meant so had to ring the wool shop to ask:rotfl:
Tea tonight is the remains of the huge pan of stew I made for yest so no troubles there and may serve with some yorkshire puddings.
Diva - glad to hear Tris and Michelle are improving!
Ruby - love that chair!
Lowesy - have a great holiday you both deserve it.
Sunnyday - lets hope the forecast was wrong, I am dying to get the garden sorted out too and will be looking at seeds this morning when I go out. I also can't wait to start drying my washing outside again!
Moiliere - glad to hear you are home safely - that really was a quick ten days. Still lets hope the time goes quickly till your visitors come to you!
Haribo - I wish our tip would do that - as they always say one mans rubbish is another mans treasure!
Right off to put a bit of lippy on and get myself out for a wander around the shops - happy days! I love having unexpected days off!!:j:j:j
Oooh Diva by the way can you remember the names of those lovely peppers you grew last year - I would love to give them a try!"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"
Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D
Weight loss since January 2011 - 5st 5 lbs!!!!!0 -
Hi all, hope everyone is well. I haven't been around for a few days as my days off have been busy! I'm back at work this morning and have found out that I am going back onto days next Thursday so only 4 more 12 hour shifts to work. On the downside that means I lose my 30% shift bonus AND get less days off but I knew it was only going to be for a few months so I've tried not to get too used to it!
Nothing OS for me today other than eating up leftovers!!
Oh, I'm very excited though (and very sad lol!), a few years ago when I moved into a house the previous owners left behind an OLD tower slo-cooker, it's 5 months older than me and will soon have its 29th Birthday!! I gave it to my granny when I bought a bigger one but she doesn't use it so I've got it back. It's only a 2L one so ideal for making rice pud or smaller batches of stuff. Even more exciting is the recipe book that comes with it....it has a recipe for pork & pineapple curry in it which we've been trying to find for ages, me & OH used to both love it at school!!0 -
Morning all

Hugs to all who need them have a good day0 -
Morning all
Hope everyone is keeping well
Haven't been on for a few days as i'm feeling very stressed out atm. What with OH and his situation we can't plan anything, I like plans so I have something to focus on or my mind just wanders.
I also had a disagreement with a friend and she really hurt my feelings so I have been stewing on that.
We are out growing our flat and could afford to move elsewhere but what with OH we cant for the minute so everything is up in the air and its driving me mental
Im bored at work and I am looking for a new job. Atleast im secure but its mind numbing most days and I like to keep the brain active!!
Big moan from me today lol!!
Made a Beef Madras in the Slow Cooker on Sunday and it was lovely :T
I have been helping my Mam clear out her loft as it is being insulated, Dad has told her nothing can go back in there but Xmas Decs ect so we've had a barrel of laughs clearing through old stuff. I found a jump suit she had when she was 20, it was maroon with blue flowers so I had that straight on haha!!
HUGS TO ALL!!0
