I reckon few people aren't so sure they know which way up they are ATM Psycho, but let's keep that to the email, anyone planning to come but not on my email list (you'd know if I emailled you already I put my username in the title) PM me yours and I'll try to make sure everyone knows everyone so we can still keep secrets off here.

I missed a couple of days and am obviously way behind!
Thanks for the nice messages peeps - mum is in hospital, which has been looming for a while and at least she's safe there (!) (she will be helped if she falls, etc.) but it means I'll be away from the action this weekend, (grrr) as I'm going over to visit. She lives quite a way from me.
I don't think there's any point me telling you to behave yourselves in my absence, so have fun!:D
I may try to catch up between then & now but the world outside the computer has a way of intervening so I'm not making any promises.
Oooh - got to boast about something before I go - got a new phone and effectively saved £40 by getting it online :T. I'm quite incapable of juggling all the technicalities of how to shave the last ha'penny off the price (giving my age away here) so I am rather pleased with this ;) Just pleeeease don't tell me I could have got it cheaper somehow other!
Okay you may all go back to plans now - please someone do a little of Mike's Doll's House in my name :D

I'm glad someone does, I've had a right crap day today.

£55 + VAT + Delivery (and a 6 week wait for the parts) for a door mirror glass, all because some myopic schmuck in a s**tbox camper van didn't know how wide his vehicle was in Petworth this morning

I won't bore you with the small amount of grief we encountered on the job, and as for the pink shirt wearing t*at in the rental van on the way back at the 331 turnoff......

    Whoooooaaaaaaaa

*Cue scratched record being pulled off turn table sound effect*

A door mirror glass... A DOOR

Honey we need some clarity in this relationship... You ARE a biker with a bigger bike than mine aren't you? I could have sworn you said 147 at the back wheel SINGULAR.

Please respond quickly, I am on the edge of my seat here, this could have been a match made in heaven (or hell if you go in for that kinda thing!)!

Don't panic, me thinks this is the company van - can't see sparky managing all his tools on a bike :rotfl:

    Got the email, thanks :)

  • I know I've only recently joined the thread, but already Im hooked and don't know how I'm going to cope without you all whilst you are working on Mike's house. You can't even let us mere mortals know what's going on on site incase Mike reads the thread. Can't he be banned from the thread as well as his house so that we can all be kept up to date. lol

    Pretty pretty pretty please Mike

Yippee!!! I finally caught up! This has got to be my all time favourite thread, had to read all the way through. You people on here are really great. It restores your faith in human kind, which for me was wrecked totally after my cowboy builder, the ex neighbour who conned me, the ex friend who stole from me and the ex partner who walked all over me! It's OK cuz I have made arrangements to have the M U G tattoo on my forehead removed by laser!!:)

Wishing you all well for the re-fit, hope all goes well. Will keep checking to see when the show will be aired.

All the best to you Mike, I hope the saga ends well with you being able to get your money back from that tish head of a bodger. (oh, I can see if I can order you a pack of Tena, but being in different counties I'm not sure how this would work. Failing that I could check the stock cupboard at work for some conveens?!):rotfl:

Will use this forum to post a thread soon to see if I can get some advice re a CCJ awarded to me but no payment received yet.

Well done and keep up the good work.
