    Evening all.

Well done Happy on your debt busting! Fantastic!

Matty, belated Happy 50th! Enjoy your holidays - everyone should have copious amounts of gifts and treats lavished upon them in their 51st year! It should be the law.

Niccatw, I'm with you and SB on the hiding in the skip plan.

Hairy biker? Me? Oh no! Well not at the beginning of the camp trip anyway! Unfortunately, there is not a great deal of room on a motorbike so after packing/loading tent, sleeping bag, blanket, airbed, camping stove, pots n pans, utensils, water carrier, coffee/sugar/salt sachets, powdered milk, cup, plate, bbq with charcoal, deckchair, spare leather trousers, clothes, make up, perfume, toothbrush/paste, soap and 2 half bottles of Bacardi, there's not a great deal of room left for razors - well I have to draw the line somewhere and I can live for a few days without a razor!

Hope that clarifies your image of me a little more Nic!

Mike, hope things are still going well for you.

Must get on now, see you all again soon,

Hi one and all especially SB for your concern - pleased to say things a little better as hubby offered a job a few weeks ago and has now actually started. :TIt will be some time before things are on the straight and narrow, but will keep working away at it. Am having some time off from my main job next week and will try and keep on here a little to catch up. Mike following you all the way and of course will help out if I can at the time. Have you any further news to share with us all. Billie xx

    OK people... here we go.

I am delighted to tell you that I had a call from DIY SOS this afternoon, telling me that they have decided to feature me on The Big Build.

They have offered to finish the whole house, and they need to begin work and filming on June 9th. The project will take 10 days.

    So first, - WOW!

Second, thank you to everyone on here for your support in all sorts of ways. Thank you also to the 100+ MSErs who clinched it by writing en masse to the programme in support of my application.

I don't really know what to say! This is the best possible outcome to my housing problem, and the effect on my boys and myself will be immeasurable.

Two of the DIY SOS team (not the bald one, surbybird, take your coat off) will be here next week to talk details and dates, and ask what I might like done decoratively. I was bowled over last week when someone gave me a small roll of carpet! I am sure my simple needs (hot tub, sauna and home cinema) will be more than met.

This is such a result for us all...

I will find out on Wednesday if they want people to be around to help the crew and be filmed and interviewed and when. This is optional! But it would be great if as many of you as possible can take part somehow and be on t'telly.

The housewarming I promised is still going to happen...

... it's just going to be about three years earlier than I thought.

    Thank you all.

    Mike x

Hello little exciteable MSE friend!! :rotfl: Either you're trying to tell me something or you missed #2409 on page 121 !!!:rotfl: I won't be scared away that easily, I'll bring my bottles of baileys and no doubt join in by the time the second bottle is opened! :p

Sorry Southern, must have skimmed past that one. I can think of a very important job for you if i'm singing.... you can pass round the ear plugs :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Now you've got my taste buds going, think i may have to raise a small glass of Baileys to Mike before i head off to bed... Cheers!!
