From a purely visual viewpoint the house is charming and the story behind it would captivate any audience. I do hope that there are sufficiently different angles here to make this one stand out.

I apologise again for the assault on your inbox and ask you to at least investigate the Doll's House further.

Everyone seems to be posting their e-mails, so here's the one I sent earlier!!

Having seen your show I believe you renovate houses that have been left half finished or with shoddy workmanship due to someone in the household not finishing the job. The Dolls House is a step beyond that as it has been left in the state it is in through no fault of the owner, who is trying every avenue to help himself to a better life.

I do not know .Mike, but I stumbled across his thread on the Money Saving Forum purely by accident. His story caught my attention and drew me in, together with the massive amount of support he was getting from others on the forum.

I couldn't help myself and simply had to watch the section on the One Show where his plight was discussed, and it was so sad to see that lovely house in such a state, and the living conditions that Mike has been enduring for a while now.

I know you probably have lots of applications from people to be on your show, all of them deserving, but I have to add my support to those campaigning to help Mike improve his life.

He has been as proactive as he can be to help himself, and continues to do so and now has quite a following, and a lot of supporters. I am sure that if you were to accept Mike onto your show that you would get a lot of viewers not only from people who had already seen the One Show (which sadly seemed to focus on what he SHOULD have done and didn't seem to offer any advice for what he should do now...) and from the following he seems to have built up over the internet.

Here's mine:

I am so sorry if your inbox is being inundated with similar messages but so many
of us are desperate to get Mike some help to turn his tiny cottage in to the
comfortable home we know it could be for him and his boys.

Life has treated him quite unfairly in the last few years but you really
wouldn't know that from talking to him as he is articulate with a great sense of
humour but he is currently living in the most horrendous conditions through no
fault of his own.

What can only be described as a Cowboy Builder, who unfortunately came
recommended by a friend, gutted his home and then left the sight never to return
taking with him all the money he had been paid upfront.

With no legal experience whatsoever Mike has taken him to court and obtained
judgement against him but has still not seen any of his money back. Without
these funds he is unable to complete the renovation. His only hope now is to
either get a judge to agree to a force of sale of the builders home (less than a
1% chance apparently) or to get help from the sort of television programme that
you and your teams are so good at making.

Please, please look favourably on Mike and the Dolls House. It would mean so
much to so many people, most especially Mike himself.

No, but somewhere between 50 and 100 seems likely, and there's all weekend, and some people are writing more than once....

And the number or views the forum's had has suddenly gone up, to around 96,000. Can you believe that? It's gone up about 4,000 in 24 hours!
