Will do an email later this evening, don't really want to send one from my work email address. Missed that bit on the one show, will youtube that later too! Sounds like things are going well though!

Thanks. Things are definitely moving behind the scenes too...

    Hello Mike,

It's my first post on your thread (although I have followed you, and cheered you on all the way); just wanted to let you know I have sent my mail to Simon Knight (the one called beginning, middle and fairytale end?).

And I just wanted to wish you the very best of luck

  • I think whatever happens, we all must stay positive. If we ever need help, do not be ashamed to ask for help. Sometimes life is difficult but if we put our mind to overcoming it, I am sure it will happen.

Do read about my experience in the contact details as in my profile.

Hopefully, it will help elevate any ‘down-ness’ anyone is feeling…

Done! Hope the following was ok:

    "Dear Mr. Knight,

I write to offer my support for the email that you have already received from Mike, the owner of "The Doll's House" in Littlehampton, West Sussex.

Mike has had an incredibly difficult time over the last year or so. After suffering divorce and ill-health he bought a property with a view to improving it and making a fresh start to his life. With great hopes for the future of his home, he hired a builder recommended to him by friends. Unfortunately, the builder (Mr Bridle) turned out to be a thief and a con-artist who has succeeded in not only stealing all of Mike's life-savings, but also leaving him living in a property that can only be considered to be unfit for human habitation.

Mike has tried to remain cheerful & optimistic throughout all of this debacle and has generated quite a following on the Money Saving Expert website. His charm & intelligence shines through in his posts, as it did when he appeared on "The One Show" earlier in the month.

I feel that both Mike & "The Doll's House" would make an excellent subject for your programme. Mike really needs a hand right now and "The Doll's House" deserves to become the picture-perfect house that it definitely can be.

    with best regards,

    Liz"
