Not meaning to sound like you should chicken out tonight but maybe he'd be in a better mood in the morning, after a nights sleep if he's finishing work very late.

  • I don't know what to do. I do kind of agree that it would be better in the morning, but when he comes in I won't be asleep & I don't see how he could fail to see there is something very wrong. I think I might end up being physically sick.
As Forrest Gump said "life is like a box of chocolates". Its just a shame I seem to be all the nutty ones! :p
  • If he is finishing work very late then he will need to unwind before going to sleep which can take sometime after working a late shift, perhaps better in the morning when he is not feeling so tired?
  • Is it me or am I missing the obvious here? I never thought someone being in debt was enough to ruin an otherwise happy relationship. If my mrs came to me and told me she was in debt you know what, i'd be more mortified at myself for not realising - the last thing i'd do is moan at her - jesus! Its only money, we earn it and spend it, if it all goes we save up again or work through it together - we do not fall out with each other, that's not what people in love do. Well, certainly not in my world anyway.

Jacobs, if he gets funny then tell him to get lost - his loss. I say fair play to you for getting the courage but if it were me i'd just come out with it and say 'listen love, i'm in debt and couldn't face telling you. Obviously it's no big deal and i'll sort it out but right now I need your support'.

Then talk to him! If he shouts or anything remind him, if he was that loving then why the hell didn't he notice?

  • best of luck, maybe tonight just say 'theres something we need to talk about 2moro', its good you are telling him if its making you ill. I know it doesnt feel it right now, but there's plenty of worse things to tell someone - affair/health news etc. if you've been acting differently he may be relieved. either way just remember there is always help here - or just hugs xx:grouphug:

  • Well folks, I have an update for you all.

I was going to tell my fiance today, but when he came home last night, as I thought he would, he could see there was something very wrong & insisted I told him there & then. So, after I had finally managed to pull myself away from the toilet area & wipe some of my tears away, I finally told him.

His reaction - very calm & couldn't really see what the big issue was! You could have knocked me over with a feather! I told him absolutely everything, hid nothing. He said he was glad I told him & would deal with it together.:)

So now, i would like to thank all of you lovely peeps who supported me, have a virtual pint / glass of wine / anything else, on me! Thank you all very much.

never in doubt - I'll probably be coming to you in the not too distant future for some more CCA advice! (if thats okay!):D

Well done your OH - he reacted exactly how i'd react, as my last post suggests..... fair play to him (see, not all men are fools, just 99% of us lol) ;)

If I can help you get rid of the debt you know I will, just send a message and i'll sort it for you - whenever you want :)
