T-Mobile 3G Broadband Problem

Hi All,

My sister has a bit of an issue where she signed up for a 24 month contract with T-Mobile through the Carphone Warehouse, but when getting home and speaking to my mum she realised that she has made a stupid mistake and she actually can't afford it.

She went to the store the next morning ans said "I'm sorry, I made a stupid mistake and I've changed my mind, please can I cancel?" (also explaining that she can't actually afford it), but they've got her on the No 14 Day Returns policy so they refused outright.

She never accepted the laptop (she was due to pick it up that morning) and gave them the 3G stick back. The Carphone Warehouse then stated that they have to speak to HO and T-Mobile about what can be done. We never really heard anything back from that and several months and letters later, it's still ongoing. T-Mobile have been chasing her for the payments (she cancelled the DD) and are threatening to send the dept collectors.

I'm guessing the end answer is going to be tough s**t, you should have thought about that before signing up but I'm putting the question out there, is there any other way round this or is there a law on 'uncollected' goods?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
