O2 upgrade to iphone..options?

Hi, I have been told my 3 different o2 customer service reps different things and i am fed up now!

The first person said i could upgrade now, so took a few weeks to choose what i wanted. I phoned back and asked if i could keep my current retention deal-usual £35 tariff except i pay £20! and was told yes, I then phoned up to say i wanted the iphone and got told i couldn't keep my current deal .....so angry!

I then phoned up again to see what discount they could do for the iphone as few of my friends have been offered free handsets etc for 3gs and was told its not till another 3 weeks till i can upgrade...jeeez this service is rubbish

I am a select customer so its 3 months early i can upgrade. It seems its total luck on the deal you get depending on who u speak to!!

Does anyone work for o2 on here? offer any advice as to how to go about keeping your current discount or even getting a good deal on iphone-as i know it can be done as my friends got free iphone 3gs etc

erm, no chance will you get an iphone tariff with free phone for £20/month....and at no point did they suggest you would according to your post....what have they done wrong?

As far as I'm aware there aren't any offers on iPhone's as Apple set the price.

If you had said when you called first that you wanted on, they would have told you (I'd think).

what have they done wrong-phoned me and told me i could upgrade then say i couldnt!-wasting my time.....and one rep told me i could have a free iphone for £29 pm then when i phoned back they said its not on offer...confusing!

and yes they do give discounts on iphone -i have a handful of friends who got deals.....new iphone for FREE and £35 pm! and refub iphone free for £30 pm are just some of the deals they got.......so you are wrong!
