I hope one of you guys will be able to help me with this wee problem I have!
I used to have phone/broadband with Tiscali (who I believe have been bought by Talk Talk) and closed my account in 2008 after they were most unhelpful after my account was hacked.
Last week, out of the blue, I received a letter from a debt collecting agency demanding £40 from the old account. They said the usual blurb...as I have not responded to previous letters, blah blah-actually I have had no previous letters and this one I got last week was the first I heard of it. Now even tho it's only £40, I'm not prepared to part with it until I have proof that I owe it.
Can anyone tell me where I stand with this please?
Any advice would be welcomed.
Thank you
