The hundred pound challenge!

Welcome castri09!

Can you believe it is March already, where is the year going?
Firstly, I need to confess that I totally blew my challenge last month, ending up spending £205.21, and it was all going so well….. Still £60 of that was "essential" train tickets so if I take that out it was £145.21 which is not so bad. Still over budget, but much better than I have been doing before so heading in the right direction. I have given myself a budget of 150 English pounds this month so I will see how I get on with that. Feeling quite confident, but I have four days in London at the end of the month which has the potential to really blow the budget. I will have to be on my best behaviour! Hotel, train etc has already been paid for so hopefully I can manage it!0 -
Well not the best start for me as my petrol light's just come on so i'll have to nip to the garege later. On the plus side i got quite a lot of half price meat at the weekend so I should be sorted foodwise for the next 2 weeks hopefully

Welcome Suz1988 J
I am not doing too badly, although spent £23.38 on day one (£12 of which was a birthday present for my brother), had two NSD’s since but today I have spent £7 on the fruit and veg co-op at work. It’s a great idea, its (mostly) locally grown stuff and the money goes into the community rather than in the mitts of the horrible supermarket multinationals, and it tastes much better too, plus you get LOADS. For £7 I will get a huge box full. Will encourage me to eat well too and keep out of the newsagents over the road that tries it’s best to lure me in. I have done well there though, I haven’t been in there since the beginning of january. This is major progress for me as last year I was in there EVERY day buying Coke and crisps (the joys of having a stressful job….
) all that money adds up. Tonight may end up costing a fair whack though, we are going out to Pizza Express for a meal (we have our trusty voucher from Martin’s email though), some drinks 9I will try my best to be good) and then off to see Lady Gaga. V excited! J
Have a wonderful day everyone!!0 -
Morning all,
Doing ok in challenge, spent £20 yesterday on dry cleaning and food (forgot about the dry cleaning). For me this is also about breaking bad habits, and not buying the treat when I pop into the shop.
Good luck everyone:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

I'm not doing too badly either, I have a meal booked in town later but it's not at an expensive place, then not doing much over the weekend, maybe a nice walk with a sandwich and a flask of something warm. Not got much planned for the next two weeks and have lots of food in so plenty of NSD's

Also making plenty in daily clicks this last couple of weeks, but that goes in my savings so I don't spend any of that.#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
Your post has just reminded me to do daily clicks again, I have got out of the routine!0
