CPW's 'in stock guarantee' = nothing of the sort!
Options
I'm well p*ssed off with cpw at the moment. I bought a reconditioned D600 from their clearance section over a week ago and was reassured by the 'in stock' sign next to the phone on the website picture. This was because of cpw's
In Stock Guarantee which is as follows <quote>
In Stock Guarantee Please note: When comparing our offers to other websites, be careful to check that they mean 'In stock' when they say it. Many websites will happily take your order for an In stock item, only to tell you that the item is not in stock but due in "any day now", and then leave you hanging for weeks on end...</quote>
Of course one week later when I checked with the online order tracker I saw that my phone had not even reached the processing stage. So I gave them a call and discovered that the phone was out of stock and the guarantee meant zip because it did not apply online. If I had not called I would have been 'hanging on for weeks on end'. I told them to cancel my order but who is to say that they don't bungle that and send the phone months later after I have ordered another one from elsewhere?
Has anyone else been let down badly in the same manner by these cowboys?

Did you get it after cancelling your order or was it just a case that you had to wait for 3 weeks for your order to be fulfilled even though it was 'in stock'? If so then they had you waiting for weeks on end just like their competitors do and they claim not to do. Seems like their guarantees are really worthless.0
