Nokia N900 on t-Mobile

Hi, Has anyone tried to get this handset on an upgrade from t-mobile yet? I read that it was possible to get the i-phone from them even though it's not on their website and wondered if they would offer this handset also. I was in CPW at the weekend and they are doing the N900 on t-mobile but it's not available either online or in store from t-mobile themselves, only through CPW, WHY??????????? I would really like this phone (or it's poor relation the N86) when my contract expires next week but can't afford to pay over £30 a month and don't really want the hassle of having to switch networks.

Vodafone had the exclusive on the N900 but i dont know when that expired. I have seen a few online retailers offer the handset on t-mobile but always assumed it was pre-order. However if t-mobile are now able to stock it the reason it may not be on the website is supply issues. They have been difficult to get hold of recently on vodafone (but not impossible) and there is a waiting list being held by the webteam. Basically the phone has been more popular then first thought.

On a seperate note I doubt you will get the phone on a £30 p/m contract without at least paying a substancial amount for the phone. Don't forget you will need somesort of data package to make the most of it.

I do highly recommend the phone though (posting from it now!).

Thanks for that, it's a bit of a long shot I know, but I'm living in a dream world where I phone t-mobile next week and they offer me the world to stay with them! I'll probably have to settle for less as usual, just determined to get the best deal available at the time. Thanks again.

Had a look at this, very tempting, just have to wait a few days til my upgrade is due and see what t-mobile offer before I jump ship. Unfortunately as this deal is already on t-mobile I don't know if they will match it for me when I phone up.
